This is so real life. Coming again to a neighborhood near you. Camps are already built all you got to do is be delivered there in the middle of the night.
Oh my God! I thought I was the only person left alive who remembers this movie! Hell yeah! I'd also recommend No Escape (1994), starring the late, Ray Liotta!
My buddy and I have “Christopher lambert” day every year on his birthday to watch some of his movies and drink beer. We were going to do this one this year with Highlander 3, but my wife went in to labour and we had our daughter on it instead. One tradition ends, a new one begins!
The ending was actually a reshoot. In the original cut, the wife and baby do indeed die in the explosion, the idea being that Brennick would become a revolutionary against the Men-Tel corporate government in a sequel.
Hello. I know you may not see this because you get many messages but thought I’d try. Here are some movies you may want to add to you list Classic- Casablanca, enter the dragon Romance - love Simon, say anything Drama - Philadelphia, Flight, the verdict Action - kick ass
fun movie + reaction! Another great Christopher Lambert film is "Subway" (1985), great acting, great music, cool story. It was the first french film I saw as a teenager, and my intro to amazing director Luc Besson (Leon (1994), The Fifth Element (1997)) 👍
Me and my older sis used to love this.. We always watched Christopher Lambert movies. He was different but also, so likeable with his characters. Stay sweet, Angel 👍👍
A few 90s recommendations for you Angel - Some more Lambert - The Hunted 1995 Strange future prisons - Face/Off, No Escape (1994), Demolition Man Near future dystopia - Barb Wire Jean Claude Van Damme 😉 - Hard Target, directed by John Woo
Wow you are the only person to react to this movie. I forgot about Fortress. I remember seeing this with my dad . Most action movies after Total Recall were going through an experimental stage. The sci Fi action thrillers you know they were we'll throw this at audiences to see if they'll like it. Two that stood out about incarceration in the future was Fortress and No Escape. No Escape was pretty bad ass to and if you love Fortress No Escape is the better of the two. They both had the same moral don't be caught in the future. They both certainly nail that home.
Holy Hell! I never realised that was Jeffrey Coombs. Angel, if you want a good, scary, body-horror gross-out you should see Re-animator. Based on a Lovecraft story. I love Lawnmower Man, too.
I see you react to some hidden gems from the 90s well, there is a movie that no other channel reacted to... is called Strange Days (1995) i hope you can check it out
I'd never heard of this til I saw you upload it. Tracked it down yesterday and watched it last night just for this lol - surprisingly fun little movie. Christopher Lambert is always a treat, but this also had Jeffrey Combs (Check him out in Re-Animator if you haven't seen it), also Tom Towles - who I knew I recognised but couldn't pinpoint where, turns out he was in the 1990s remake of Night of the Living Dead (which I love, arguably more than the original). Also, glad you kept the stuff in at the end - its always fun realising where you see people from, also kinda tempting me to rewatch the The Haunting & House on Haunted Hill, i'm pretty sure i've seen them but really can't recall anything specific.
Jeffrey Combs is awesome in anything he's in, Stuart Gordon is a B movie legend. More like this..... Lockout (2012), Wedlock (1991), Demolition Man (1992), Escape From New York (1980)... maybe Face Off (1997) and Cube (1997).
I was so surprised to see someone review this movie. I wasn't sure if anyone else even remembered it existed, much less was interested enough to react to it. A shame, really, because for this kind of sci-fi movie, it's definitely one of the better ones. A movie with a similar theme that is also worth a watch is "No Escape" aka "Escape From Absolom", a movie starring Ray Liotta with a great supporting cast. I definitely recommend it.
Hadn't seen this in forever and didn't even realize that Clifton Collins Jr was in it! The first movie I took notice of him in was Antione Fuqua's The Replacement Killers, and have been a fan ever since.
I love this movie. I was one of the many who suggested it on the other Lambert videos, so glad you watched it! The movie lacks budget, but it makes up for it every way it can, with good writing and acting, creativity in the tech and the effects, the sheer brutality of the violence and the dystopia, and effective storytelling. One cool thing I want to point out if that all the laser bars in the entire movie, none of them are an optical effect. They decided the cheapest and best looking way to do it was to run plastic cables between the walls and set LED lights inside them. Watch for it, any time the energy bars go down, there's a cut, and it's usually cleverly disguised. Because they had to remove the physical plastic bars and replace them. But it looks perfect. This movie seems way more high budget than it is, really a great work of craftsmanship and a great showcase for Lambert.
If you plan to do TimeCop and more Van Damme, I would suggest Hard Target, Universal Soldier, Death Warrant, Bloodsport, Kickboxer, Double Team and Street fighter in pretty much that order of best to worst imo but realy, I love em all.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was originally cast for the main role but he was busy with Total Recall and other movies so Christopher Lambert got this. I'm glad he did cuz he did excellent in this very underrated movie. There's a sequel too with him if you didn't know 👍
Oh, woah, that's cool! Yeah, I love Arnold, but I'm really happy Christopher Lambert got it. He's so original/ a lot of fun to watch act. I'll have to check out the sequel!

You might enjoy Christopher Lambert in "Gideon" (1998). It's a comedy/drama, not an action movie. He plays a newcomer to a retirement home where the residents have become apathetic and lifeless, and he helps the regain their passion for living.
RIP Tom Towles He was on a Seinfeld episode. Also in Night of the Living Dead 1990 remake. Also Mad Dog and Glory with Deniro , Bill Murray and Uma Thurman. (a good one nobody has done or mentions)

I think it's so awesome that you react to these great cult movies! They need more exposure. Seeing how you like Netflix's The Punisher, I wonder if you might enjoy the 1989 Punisher film with Dolph Lundgren, if you haven't seen it yet(Christopher Lambert was originally going to play the title role).
For my part in this recommendation, you're welcome :D (Death Machine with Brad Dourif is another highly recommended watch. Low budget, crazy sci fi horror)
I just remembered 'No Escape', another decent sci fi prison break film starring Ray Liotta. Very different to Fortress but it's great, oh and it's got Ernie Hudson and Lance Hendrickson (Bishop, Aliens) in it :)
This was a fun watchalong with ya :) Y'now... I don't think I'd even mind if you checked out Greystoke (again). It may even feel fresh/new if you haven't seen it since you were a lot younger.
do you enjoy mostly scifi or some fantasy? You should check out Krull from 1983 or Equilibrium from 2002...Equilibrium has a young Christian Bale in it and has some amazing action sequences.
Movies that moved my heart I would love to see your honest reaction to: Defending Your Life, Running On Empty, Amelie, Ghost Town, Forsaken. Also out of pure curiosity the very smart horror film The Collector (2009).
For me the movie still holds up after more than 30 years. It's my 3rd favorite movie of Christopher Lambert After Highlander and Knight Moves (1992) if you haven't seen it yet you should check it out. A few recommendations for prison movies are Wedlock (1991) with Rutger Hauer No Escape (1994) with Ray Liotta See you later AngelGator. Have a good Day.
If you really like Lambert.. Check out there movie with his then wife the gorgeous Diane Lane called "Knight Moves". They did another film together called "Priceless Beauty" with Lane as a genie.. But i cannot remember it at all.
I don't think she's ever posted anywhere why. She did get a new job shortly before disappearing, but had said that would give her more time for the channel, not less.
Hey, I'm hoping all is well. 'The Island' is more reminiscent of 'Logan's Run(1976)' to me, but you might not have seen it
