But this is my opinion and at far as in ring work goes the Steiners are far superior to the Road Warriors. Promo wise I would give the advantage to Hawk. But athletic wise the steiners no contest. In fact if the steiners came around today they wouldnt even be wrestlers but UFC combatants and Scott steiner probably would be a champion because early 90s Scott steiner may be the most athletically gifted person ever in wrestling. Look up some of his early stuff and you'll be entertained.
You get NO argument from me... At all. No reason a guy scott's size should be able to do a frankensteiner without a running start. Like 6' 2-3" 260lbs. So athletic and rick was tough as hell and very believable. Splitting them up and turning scott into big poppa pump was a travesty
Probably the longest lasting WCW memory I have is them two, standing back to back in the middle of the ring with their fists up while the commentator screamed "they're watching each other's back!"

Counting from '85 instead of '90 would've given us Rock'n'Roll Express, Midnight Express, Road Warriors, Powers of Pain, Skyscrapers, R&R Express, Superpowers, Dusty and Magnum, Minnesota Wrecking Crew... just to name a few.
Sting and Luger as a Face and Heel, but best friends, tag team was some of the best stuff I'm glad I got to watch. Seeing Lex of all people have some level of nuance and character was a delight.

I appreciate the clarification of the 1990 start date. As a fan who preferred NWA I have always considered the "TBS NWA" and WCW to be the same promotion. Primarily because the pillars of the show didn't suddenly change when WCW withdrew from the NWA. To complete the thought, a lot of the 80s teams would dominate this list.
I have to give an honorable mention to Meng and the Barbarian, the Faces of Fear. Not only were they one of the only bright spots to the Dungeon of Doom, but they were tough enough to literally eat any of the teams on the list. However, I can see why they are often overlooked as these other teams are successful in winning gold either before the FoF were there, during, or after. Also, perhaps they were just very one dimensional as a team in an ever-changing wrestling world

Steinerizing people was their business... and business was good. Harlem Heat had some real fantastic moments. And The Hollywood Blondes was the capsule for two of the architects for the new era of wrestling history.

Undeniably, Booker T & Kevin Nash are my 2 fave wrestlers of all time. While Harlem Heat is high on my list (#2 or 3 depending on the day), Jake "The Snake" Roberts & The Barbarian in the old Mid-South promotion is my fave tag team of all time. I wish I could find the video that Mid-South did about them to Ratt's "Lay It Down". The Steiners, The Outsiders & Harlem Heat at 1, 2 & 3 I can live with...But I think the real #1 WCW Tag Team of all time was The Hollywood Blondes. Hard to believe they were only a thing for 10 months. It seemed like they were around for years. Damn good list, though.
Rather good ranking: I liked The Blue Bloods, the Horsemen are superior, Outsiders well placed and my favourite team is Harlem Heat. But: Place 2: Skyscraper (They were in NWA, but I think in WCW too!), Place 3: The Faces of Fear!
The Bluebloods were great and would've been fantastic back in the days of the territories. the original Hollywood Blondes were Buddy Roberts and Jerry Brown in the old Los Angeles territory in the 70s. They had a young Oliver Humperdink as their manager and feuded with Gordman and Goliath and The Infernos they could really work a good match.
And possibly wrestling's number one team. About the only team that can compete over time is the Bubba and D-Vonn in whatever they were being called at the time. But the Steiner's were much better wrestlers.
"Dr. Death" Steve Williams & Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy should have been on this list. They were only in WCW a short time in '92, but they were unstoppable.

I liked The Blue Bloods, the Horsemen are superior, Outsiders well placed and my favourite team is Harlem Heat.
But: Place 2: Skyscraper (They were in NWA, but I think in WCW too!), Place 3: The Faces of Fear!
I remember seeing Harlem heat in indie wrestling when I was a little kid before they got signed by wcw
I guess I was always a NWA fan and not a WCW fan. Never realized it till now, So many tag teams missed in this video!

I think Wrath & Mortis, along with Meng and The Barbarian would be on this list if they would not have been broken up too soon.
The Bluebloods were great and would've been fantastic back in the days of the territories. the original Hollywood Blondes were Buddy Roberts and Jerry Brown in the old Los Angeles territory in the 70s. They had a young Oliver Humperdink as their manager and feuded with Gordman and Goliath and The Infernos they could really work a good match.
Stinger and Luger will always be my all-time favorite tag team.

There's a good reason why The Steiner Brothers will always be Michigan's Tag Team!
And possibly wrestling's number one team. About the only team that can compete over time is the Bubba and D-Vonn in whatever they were being called at the time. But the Steiner's were much better wrestlers.
"Dr. Death" Steve Williams & Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy should have been on this list. They were only in WCW a short time in '92, but they were unstoppable.
Good list, but I would swap out Blue bloods for Williams and Gordy. And I guess Road warriors , midnight express, rock n roll express, and skyscrapers are considered more NWA timeframe?
I am a wrestling aficionado and I never heard of Doom. They were awesome looking.
The Hollywood Blondes were Buddy Roberts & Jerry Brown with Sir Oliver Humperdink as their manager. I seen them in Florida during the early 70s more times than I can remember. This Steve Austin Brian Pillman version couldnt walk in the real Hollywood Blondes boots even if they were motorized.
Ok, how can you miss one of the best teams wrestling has ever seen - the **Roadwarriors** aka Legion of Doom - they were faaar better than any of the teams with the only exception maybe being the Steiners
