    10:17 Here e is the element of R and we know that R={a1, a2,...., an}={a1×ai,a2×ai,....,an×ai} so there should exist an element aj such that aj×ai=e. Thats why aj is the inverse or all ai element of R

    Sir , the example of division ring that you mentioned , GLn(R) , is it an abelian group under matrix addition ? Because identity matrix I belongs to GLn(R) , so is - I belongs to GLn(R), then their sum I-I =0 matrix not in GLn(R) .
    So which one is division ring? Mn(R) or GLn(R) ?

    As by last theorem characteristic of an integral domain is zero or a prime
    But characteristic of ( Z4 , +4 , ×4 ) is 4. Because order of 1 is 4

    Sir for (Z4,+4,×4) characteristic is 4 according to you but if we do 2 +4 2 we get zero so we can say the least possible value of n is 2 so characteristic is 2 . Please clear my doubt

      Bro i just got it.
      Characteristics can't be 2 because it doesn't apply to the other elements 1 and 3
      Definition of characteristics of ring says n is the least positive integer s.t
      n.a=0 for all a €z4:That means n has to applicable to all a in z4
      Here 2 is not even a value of n.
      n=4,8,12,16, 20,24,28,32,. . .
      So the least n will be 4

      Its z with modulu 9 and 9 is not prime number so it is not field.. Because according to theorem if mudulo is prime then it is field otherwise no..
