    Our Story:
In 2018 we left the UK to come to Gita’s family homestead here in north Latvia, not far from the Estonian border and now we live somewhere nowhere in the middle of a forest in a house built by Gita’s grandfather. We’re videoing our journey and trying to give you some insights into how we’re living here.

Your communication and networking is so important if you're living in a rural setting. I can honestly say that, good neighborly skills are incredibly important when times are tough. Be friendly, try to help out follow neighbors before they ask, and refrain from politics and drama. Small kind gestures mean a lot to rural folk and the payback can be a real blessing. I was fortunate enough to grow up around rural folk and when we moved into the country as you did, it still amazes me just how different the rural community is by comparison to urban areas.

You did a really good list 👍🏻 only 3 little suggestions with in addition to communication will be navigation how to properly read a map with a compass. Maybe trapping can fall under hunting category as well. Having multiple caches in different locations.
