Glad to see someone pointing out the truth about Boston's racism.
Also pointing out that those who supported desegregation only wanted it done in the poorest neighborhoods. There was no rallying cries for desegregation in the schools in wealthy suburbs like Wellesley.
Did de-segregation of public schools make them better or worse?
Worse overall..👈🤔...of course...
Now, if they had served more
fried chicken, for school lunches,
it would have been less bad..👈🤔...
...but there would have been more
fighting for the front of the line...
Worse
I'm actually hoping Yvonne Plant
answers...👈😆
I lived this... you try to go to school during full on violent riot while the police leaned back on thier squad cars ignoring the victims. Do it real Judge Garrity did this in a stupid manner!
Opposite. My kids tried to go to school as the police bravely fought if blm rioters
Faux 'News' must've turned off their comments section again.😂
Pay 145 has a typo: “That it was it for Stevie..” should be “That was it for Stevie..”
It was a mess, to the tune of "I'm louise day hicks, and this is where I stand." Almost 50 years later, it doesn't seem the plan worked effectively.
*ANTHONY BLINKEN's Confidant?*
*is HUNTER BIDEN?*
- You have got to be kidding. The Plot Thickens
Dennis..... If the Boston School Committe had maintained, repaired, constructed and funded the schools in Roxbury and North Dorchester ( the Black Neighborhoods of the City). If the Boston School Committee had spent equal dollars on the education of Black Children as they did on White Children... what then?!! But they didn't, nor did the any of the Mayors believe that the education of Black Children should be equal to that of White Children..... This was all about Fairness, yet the Geniuses that presided over all our lives were more concerned with patronage and how they could pocket more of the tax payers dollars. The Great Tragedy of all those years was the inability of any leader in Boston to speak the Truth. Which parent (White or Black) could ever defend Busing or the huge expense associated with Busing? This was political theatre. It would have been far better for Garrity to redirect the City of Boston to overfund the Black Schools since the Black Schools of Boston had been ignored and underfunded for years. But that would have been too simple a solution. Don't you think? Boston was then and is now still a racist city. I hope that is what people take away after reading your book. The people of Boston are kind but they often do not see or concern themselves with the unkindness directed at others that are marginalized and depressed.
Diversity is America’s Greatest Strength.
Sure is. Responsible for a stalling economy and a lazy workforce.
Racism and sexism should be illegal across the board!
Is this needed now
What chapter does it quote “I’ll be damned if my kids go to school in a racial jungle “?
Is this remark at all relevant to anything in Boston?
@@yvonneplant9434 Yes. The man who said it is the President of the country Boston is in.
@@yvonneplant9434 racist, criminal Joe B

...and he wasn't a fan of
the jungle AT THAT TIME..👈🤔
@@yvonneplant9434 Did you need some reading comprehension-assistance, not understanding what the term “desegregation” was/is? LOL
Black on black crime is thriving under Brandon !!
Well done !

You know it says your name next to your picture you don't need to sign off on your comments like that
Jim Eagle commenting on a video about a book when he can't even read 😂 thanks for another laugh - Steve Falcon
MLK would be a republican today.
Thanks

😂 😂 yeah right.
Only a white man would believe he is privileged enough to determine what the most prominent black civil rights leader would support a racist party.
Perhaps it is time that we understand the failure of the idea that various races can live together in harmony. This seems to be a failed promise not only in the USA, but around the world. Perhaps it is time that we return to the concept of, ‘separate but equal.’ That concept seemed to work very well back in the day until the courts in the government got involved.
Hahaha. Please read some American history. Segregation doesn't work. Addressing racism does.
Black history month is over
Praise JESUS, and
"pass the white"...👈😁👍
