For those wondering about this series Phil gave an update on it in today's stream. "The hardcore series is currently on hiatus as I want the next episode to be the end of the nether void project which means going through close to 40 or 50 streams that are all 5 to 6 hours long, so if you are really starved for hardcore content just check out the streams and our archives" so yes be ready for another long gap between hardcore episodes Peeps. And check out the streams if you have that hardcore itch just make sure you go back to before 2021 if you do not want spoilers, because that's when he began his new project that he is still working on now.
Thanks for the info the only problem is I don’t get time to watch his streams or Vods so this is my only method of watching it without having to drop everything else I’m doing such as playing games or watching other UA-cam series during my free time
he’s a year and half behind. it’s sad. there is no reason that is the case. it doesn’t take a YEAR to go threw 50 6 hour long streams and edit

For what seems like 6 hrs for us, it really like 9-12 hrs for editing and reviewing.
And if its backed up then you can imagine how time consuming it'll be.

I was LITERALLY just in the process of catching up on S4 highlights so I could make the leap to Twitch, and was concerned about the gaping 8 month gap I'd have to catch up with on the fly. Imagine my shock when I see episode 76 in my recommendations, and then again when I see it posted just minutes ago.
Except for he’s started a whole new project since the end of this vid and nearly finished that project

He said on stream once that he doesn't upload because it's just too much work for him at the moment, and he doesn't want to pay for an editor (i don't remember the exact reason). But that doesn't mean he doesn't care about his UA-cam channel

Phil talking about hiding the next project from us when a year later he's NEARLY DONE with said project, that's how long it's been.
Edit: Now he's DONE done, and started a NEW Project too. And it'll still be a while till the Montage for the finished project comes out because Phil refuses to hire an editor but spends most of his time streaming so he never has the TIME to edit.
Ngl, when the intro bit said the streams were until Sep 2020, that hit me hard. The vids have a LOT of catching up to go, but I guess that's what happens when Dream SMP takes up your life.

Yeah, and he wouldn't get anywhere near a break-even if he had to hire an editor for the videos. Going through dozens of 5 to 6 hour long streams to condense into a single video. He says in his streams he wants the videos to encapsulate all the fun without the grind. But still, seeing this video come out 8 months after episode 75 makes me want to rewatch the entirety of series 4. I love our Phillium Minecraft

I think this moment is underappreciated at 24:52. Had that skeleton shot just a split second later, the shield would have dropped and because of close he was to the charged creeper, that could have killed him. Although he does have blast protection 4 and protection 4 on a full set of netherite armour, it is still a close call.
Full netherite with blast protection makes it so charged creepers are unable to oneshot you at full health.
@@asaltedpudding4041 not actually, it still can one shot him at zero distance, but at the distance he was at that moment, he wouldn't have died
Shields don't work like that, when something hits it I'm pretty sure it doesn't get disabled unless it's an axe
Even when fully clipping inside a creeper theres a large chance you survive with half a heart. Regardless, philza wasn't in much danger.

Tbh, as someone who has just started playing hardcore, the most unbelievably stressful situation is just Minecraft randomly freezing at the worst of times or getting “tabbed out”
i absolutely refuse to enter a bastion on my hardcore world, will only go after the chests near the outer walls for pigstep, none of the other loot is worth the risk lol philza is a mad lad
@@YousAHunter tbf I wouldn’t want to enter a bastion either as well, cuz those Brutes are just /brutal/ :P. Tho my Minecraft hoarding instincts really wanna delve into the fray and get all the loot regardless of what I’m wearing (tho I don’t have an elytra nor any totems, so escape and/or survival/return from the dead is not gonna be completely easy at all).
