Growing up, we had an '84 Suburban with the tailgate like this one. I always thought that turnkey tailgate window roll down was top notch next level thinking for the time.
At least this Suburban model had a retractable glass like clamshell and folding horizontal rear door. The current generation comprise automatic hatchabck rear door
My Dad owned a 1973 C10 Cheyenne Super Suburban back in the bias ply tire days. He put a pair of Firestone Town and Country bias ply snow tires on the rear and that truck went through snow like it was nothing....A few people would ask him if it was 4 wheel drive....which it wasn't...because it did so well in snow. Present day all season radials would likely not handle snow as well as bias ply or radial snow tires would.
I love your Chevy Suburban 88, beautifull, clean and preserved, pretty

Michael Langdon About 11mph
Wow. So it wasn't great on gas lol.
Michael Langdon No, but it could pull a freight train!
Nice!!! It looks like a classic? Did you take it to a few car shows too in the 3 years of having it?
Hey did not know that gas was around 85 cent a gallon
What is the size of your suburban tires?

Gas was around 85cent a gallon in the 80s
I had an 88 Burb like this with the TBI injected 350. Consistently got 18 mpg on the highway.
What the difference of suburban 10 and 20
20 is a 3/4 ton. It could pull a lot more than a 10 but gas mileage was worse because it was geared down.
