I would pass on Cam and Pat P. We still don’t know what really happened with Cam and Pat P isn’t terrible but he can’t really play corner anymore. He was trying safety but that’s no good because he can’t really tackle. I would like to sign Gilmore or Howard.
@woodygetty4727 He wouldn't be asked to play outside or boundary corner. He would be asked to play slot (Cam Sutton). He was not a good boundary corner even when he was drafted. Cam Sutton always had problems with speed WR. But his experience in the slot: tackling, route recognition, and overall experience would help. We do not know the particulars of his legal issue(s), so I am only proposing this on a football player evaluation. But, your comment is respected.
Chance they only met with him as a man to extend any help they can. They said he was a great guy.
Not so sure. Tomlin said he met with him personally when this was all going down... a 2nd meeting after it was reduced to a misdemeanor? That sounds like a business meeting, not a personal advice.

Cam over Pat P. I would do it. Cam fits our Defense better than Da Lions
CS was still the best corner on the Lions last year regardless if he got cooked at times. There is a reason the Lions used their first two picks on CBs this year as the position was a weak spot for them. Also the legal stuff is the bigger factor why the Steelers will not touch him at least until it gets resolved.

I agree with you he plays the slot okay. Detroit gave him more than he was worth and over estimated his talent. Double digit money is too much for a guy who can do a pretty good job in the slot.

Domestic "issues" are always dirty and I rarely see a scenario that's clean cut black and white. We certainly shouldn't downplay assault, but it's also innocent until proven guilty. And I don't think we should believe something just because an offended party is accusing of such.

Detroit put him up against top notch receivers and he got beat like a rented mule. If you want paid nice money you have to play good football and he anything but that with Detroit. Even if there was no domestic violence and running from the police Detroit would have probably dumped him anyway.

Because he was good in Pitt. His role here was different. Amazing slot corner. Not so much on the perimeter. But have him cover WR3 and TEs is a great situation for him. We need slot help so it makes sense.
