Amplifier ke left input me ye circuit lagayenge to left speaker output me subwoofer lagana porega or right input me lagayenge to right speaker output me.

@@TechTalkSwarup bro pr mujhe lgta h 2030 board is not upto the mark 4" subwoofer 35watts nd (10+10watt satellites speakers) within 2 months usage eik side 1ic stopped working..and full volume pr bass gayab ho jaati h..isme..and a lot of huming while connecting on bt module..
Change the damaged ic asap otherwise the other ics will also stop working.
If you are using the usb port present on your ampifier to power the bluetooth adapter then it will cause weird noise, to avoid the noise use a different power supply( preferably old mobile charger) for the bluetooth.

If you use 2.2 uf capacitor then you as well need to use 450 ohms resistor to match the desired frequency..

The output should match power input..
You are supplying 24 watts.
Your board can supply 30 watts at 4 ohms.
Use 30 watts power supply to get full performance.

For increase . You can replace the transformer to a 1amp more one. Or add capacitor to the power supply Or change to a better speaker.

For that connect this filter to any of the input channels and leave the other channel input untouched or you can add another high pass filter and connect it to the untouched input...

Hi Swarup, thanks, with your process I successfully converted a singing active Subwoofer to a decent one. But some midrange still creeps into the sub.
Hence my question, if want to drop the HPF to 80Hz or below, what should be the combination of resistor & capacitor please?
FYI, it is a Pioneer S-51W subwoofer (150W, 10"cone), it does not have a LPF regulator. I'm using your filter solution on the input line to the sub.
One of the combinations would be 1 uf capacitor and 2k resistor for 80 hz.
But the audio signal will decrease significantly as you decrease the frequency.
I would suggest you to use a active low pass filter in spite of this passive filter.

@@TechTalkSwarup Thanks. I'll try the passive option first, because I'm not too worried about signal strength. It's a 150W Pioneer amp after all & I can't increase volume past a quarter, adding another k of resistance means I'll have to turn up the volume a bit more.

If your amplifier has a pre-controller installed then it may not work.. in that case you must connect this circuit to the input of the board directly.

As 3055 has only 2 channels..
You have to connect 2 speakers per channel...
If the speakers are of 8 ohms ,, connect them in parallal mode..
And if the speakers are of 4 ohms connect them in series mode...

Agar woofer ka ohms load jada kam ho gaya to jada der chalne se ic jal jayega..

In which audio channel u would connect this circuit, it would affect only that channel..
Other channels will have no affect..

Yes u can.. but the frequency will drop to 72 hz .. to get 160 hz u have to change the capacitor as well.. to 400 nf..

Which pair should i use? I have 1.2k ohm, 330ohm, 2.2ohm and 9.1ohm resistors and for the capacitors i have 4.7nf, 47nf, and100nf capacitors. Now i have a 1nf capacitor but it doesn't have any positive or negative marking so i don't know the polarity
no suitable pair can be made with the mentioned components, to filter 160 hz.....
If you use 100nf capacitor than use a 10 k resistor.. that will do.
I used the parts specified and connected as directed I believe bass is coming through however it is very very low can you advise how to get it louder. The speaker i am using is 6 ohm
U can add an operational amplifier with this circuit to boost input signal..

If you want to add pre-amp board , you can simply connect(left, right, ground) the output of the pre-amp board to the input of your sound system. And give audio input to the pre-amp board..

I want to make below 125 hz low pass filter...so.. which value of resistor and capacitor should I use
For 125 hz .. mathematically you'll need 1.2k ohms & 1 microfarad, 130 ohms & 10 uf etc resistor and capacitor respectively .
But cautious, the audio strength will diminish. Recommended to use active low pass filter instead.

Why does it work? I am no electrician but after some search with google I learned that a capacitor in an AC circuit should have a higher resistance with lower frequencies and a lower resistance with higher frequencies. Wouldn't that mean, that a capacitor works as high pass filter?
The capacitor works as a low pass filter here. It would also act as a high pass filter.
If you wire the cap in series, it's a high pass. In parallel, however, it functions as a low pass filter.
