This is a video with clips from the life and operations onboard an anchor handler vessel. Hardworking guys.
Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels are mainly built to handle anchors for oil rigs, tow them to location, and use them to secure the rigs in place. Many of these vessels are designed to meet the harsh conditions of the North Sea. hey also provide towing assistance during tanker loading, deepwater anchor handling, and towing of threatening objects.

I am from US and already started the paperwork process to apply to the United States Merchant Mariners Union. My question is how do I get into specifically your line of work? What endorsement does one need to obtain in the Merchant Mariners Credentials book in order for me to become a deckhand on an ANCHOR HANDLING TOW SHIP? I'm looking forward to hearing from you
