This is the best video of banjo disassembly I have ever seen. You are a good teacher.

What a great video series! I have a Deering good time 2. My neighbor just gave me a banjo that he got in 1964 new. Its a ODE model 33 long neck banjo. It does not have strings or a bridge and is in perfect condition other than being dirty. I have shined all the aluminum and have disassembled the banjo. Thanks to your videos! I have never done it before. All the paperwork is in the case. B
He bought it on September11 1964. He ordered it with monogamy (laminate) I am guessing and several other options. It was 235.00 in 1964. I can't wait to play it. If you have any other advice for me I would really appreciate it. You really impress me with your knowledge and willingness to put in the hard work to show us how you do it. By the way you play really well. Much better than I do. Thanks again. Muleman,Scott

Hello, is the new GOLD STAR GF100 W WREATH banjo as good as the ones made in the 70's and 80's? Thanks.

I would rather put taller bridge on it coordinator rods should be in the neutral position

They should be, true. I have limits on what I will give it, sometimes you have to make compromises. The real answer is to re-cut the heel. A real bag of worms there.
