Just a short note in case you or one of your viewers passes through this stage again at one point. Right between Orio and Zarautz, on top of the hill, there is a camping place with a small restaurant next to it. The view from the terrace of this restaurant is stunning and has given me the most beautiful sun set of my 50+ years. The sun (around May 22) set right behind Getaria, which is well visible from the top of the mountain. I do believe that the camping place also has cabins for pilgrims, so you might be able to stay there. We had tents with us, so I may be wrong. Descending into town after sunset should be well possible, though, if you have a head-lamp. There are stairs descending from the camping place down to the sea front, so you do not have to walk along the street.
Why not? Great way to actually experience a country. No tour group. No time constraints. I have reserved rooms every day but that allows me to take my time as I walk.
absolutely beautiful photography! walking del norte in may 2023, so this is all very encouraging and comforting! thank you!
Thank you. The Norte is both beautiful and challenging. Buen Camino
Love the videos, making me all the more anxious to do Del Norte.
Thank you.

Thanks. I do know that camping is illegal except in approved areas.
@@TheProfessorandHerPassport Yes, it may be. This is an official camping ground, though, and a big one.
What made you want to do this ?????
