I grew N. khasiana - back when Triffid Park used to sell them - outdoors here in Melbourne for several years. Was in a spot protected from southerly and westerly winds. It would just stop growing in winter and pick up where it left off in spring. Shame I don’t still have it, possum got to it😆
I've got a few but certainly not all and no truncata squat yet. I'm waiting for my big girl to have some good pitchers and I will be doing a species spot light on them.
Yeah I'm very luck with where I live, though so far this spring is testing them it's been super dry and low humidity so we will see how things fair. I'm hoping the winds change in summer bring some more humidity in off the ocean
I'm in Sydney but right on the coast so the humidity is usually pretty good. Unfortunately Melbourne doesn't seem to be a good climate for them outdoors
What a "bush"... envy you can grow them outside! But how do you manage to repot them, without "breaking"? They are so big..and your truncata x edwardsiana. Love that... just thinking will that cross make it on an windowsill 🤔
To be honest I haven't repotted many of the big ones out there for quite a while lol that rokko I showed if going to be a nightmare I'm going to have to do it in mid air. I reckon truncata x eddy would make a great window sill nep if you have decent light n humidity

Yeah I've heard khasiana was a pretty tough grower. Don't get me started on possums, I'm thinking of starting a war with them 🤣
Such a nice collection, i one day want my house absolutely filled with Nepenthes and all the other carnivores
Thanks, I'm lucky I can grow them outside, inside my house doesn't get enough sunlight to keep them growing.
I would also like to see a video on all the different forms of N. truncata! Specifically squat if you have it as I got one in the recent EP update

Cant wait to put my plants outside in summertime!
I'm so lucky where I live that I can keep them outside all year round. Though they don't love winter.
nice plants brother
Thanks mate
Another amazing video! Did you manage to secure anything in the recent EP update?
Thanks mate. I did and they should arrive during the week.
So awesome you can grow these outside. I suppose I could grow them outside if I lived in Florida or California
