@@TheDrunkenTourist Akalki Centro Holistico is next to Habitas. The have I think 15 rooms some right on the water. The key is "Day Pass" I was there just weeks ago. Paid 850 peso and received 300 back in food credit. They have no "beach" access rather you would jump into 4 feet of water. Also check out Club Blu (No "e") also a beach club I think that was about 400 pesos with food and drink credit too. Get there at 11am and you will have the whole place to yourself for about 2 hours. I have been there 3 x and the place never had more than 30 ppl. It's in the Area of Cenote Azul. You should make a budget friendly video since this place has all price range. I took my 20 year old son told him to grab a back pack and spend 1k 4 nighs and 5 days with round trip from L.A., trying to teach him how to travel alone and not be afraid. We stayed in a $45 bucks a night hotel owned by a local Professor hotel Name is Cedro Rojo, clean and peaceful nothing fancy but good for backpackers. Then I took my parents on another trip and did what you guys did and definitely spent a whole lot more. Tip for those arriving into Chetumal Airport: Don't get the taxi at the airport.. Walk 8 minutes to the right towards Parque Zazil and you will find about 5 🚕 there that would take you to Bacalar for 400 pesos alot cheaper than the guys at the door of the airport. Greetings and safe travels.
