This music just makes my heart happy😊❤ I learned to play steel pan (albeit a very small one) on a recent Caribbean cruise. And I'm hooked!! Going to by one/some. Can I ask you you where I can fine sheet music? Or do I even need any? And where could I find drum back up music? Can I play ir on my phone somewhere? TYIA You music is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!!
I'm glad you like the music! You can use standard piano/vocal sheet music but if can't already read music, you may want to find a pan player that gives lessons. I do create all of my own backing tracks but most guys just use karaoke tracks off youtube.
Most of the old/ original players in Trinidad where it originated learn to play by ear, no sheet music. Three of my brothers played and none knew how to read music, one a petroleum engineer, one a PhD writer, one didn’t finish high school and all played just beautifully.
Beautiful! Great improvising! I'm going to learn this with two mallets.
Very, very, very, very good, very, very, very cool.
So professionally and effectively translated from the player's heart.❤👍🏽
