I know. This year has been filled with so much growth for her. It has been truly amazing. We are not even having to move slowly anymore. She does 1-3 lessons per day in reading, depending on the lesson, and 1 lesson per day in math.
Oh sat prep. That came up quickly!

We do together time!!! We use gather round and biographies mainly!!! When we did time my son struggled with counting by 5s but he got it. We did a lot of review. We used logic of English videos for spelling. The woman is good at explaining it. We don’t get up early in the winter at the moment, independent work can be done at any time in the day. I don’t mind what time.
I’m missing together time this year with Katie in college classes! 😢

We are having a gorgeous blue sky day here in OR (37 degrees, but sunny!) SSSOOOOO we’re taking a SUN-day today off of school to be outside. 😂 We also are expected to have snow this week, so we may take a snow day in there too! 🤷🏻♀️ Just move everything back a little on the schedule. I only plan the current week, so its easy to move stuff.
We would die. 37 degrees! Girl! We would be outside in snow gear with blankets! 😂😂😂 But yay for the sun!!! We have had so much dreary rainy weather lately.
I love how you're so flexible with what order everything is done in! I feel like that is one thing I need to work on is not being so strict about the schedule.
I was like that too the first few years. But really, part of the joy of homeschooling is flexibility so I feel like we might as well take advantage of it!

I have two boys and my oldest (14) is so messy 🤣 he’s so bright but really struggles with staying organized and neat. Pretty sure he’s ADD because it’s certainly a focus issue.
On a side note ,I’m in the market for a new washer and dryer 😅
Do you love your set? We have the worst luck when it comes to getting a set that will last. I’m sure all our military moves don’t help anything 😬
I want a set that I can wash our huge king comforter and pillows.

Our set came with the house so we didn’t choose them. But I like them fine. I don’t know if I would’ve picked them myself because the washer has an agitator so you can’t wash big comforters. But for the most part they have been pretty good.

Thanks! We use Khan Academy. It is free and really good. If you've taken the PSAT or SAT you can link your scores and it is customized for you.
You are so on top of current events. I need to get into some of these. We listen to Ben Shapiro that is about it.
Both of my girls really enjoy current events! I started it just to work with Katie on finding bias. But Sophie likes it too.
Today is definitely a winter homeschool day here. Our temp is 19 degrees but feels like 9 with icy roads and 50% chance of snow. I wanted to make a grocery run today but instead we will focus on school and try tomorrow or later this week.
I’m not sure we would survive that! We have to hunker down below about 45! We are just not used to it.
