You describe everything so beautifully, I am definitely tempted to give it a try! I actually prefer dishes like these that you ordered in lieu of the steam table offerings on so many buffets! This certainly looks like a winner, thanks for such a terrific review. 😘
Thanks for all your videos. Going to Las Vegas in Oct. for first time. Not so much interested in bar hopping or gambling. But extremely interested in swimming pool hopping. Can you do a video on all the fabulous swimming pools at Las Vegas Hotels and is it possible to check out multiple ones in a single day?
I had this brunch last month with my friend who is a Vegas local; she brings everyone to this brunch. It was a unique brunch experience for us and we loved the small plates allowing for trying tons of different dishes. I’ll do it again when I can visit her again. It’s a great brunch for people who aren’t huge breakfast food fans and for breakfast food enthusiasts, too.
Ruby I’m a retired fine dinning Chef from 🇬🇧 and I’ve worked with some of the best chefs inc Ramsay , and TBH I think your food reviews are very informative, knowledgeable, and that your taste buds are on point , in fact much better than a lot of the professionals and food critics , well done you ! Excellent.
'your taste buds are on point , in fact much better than a lot of the professionals and food critics' I'm honestly curious, how can you say that from watching videos? For all you (and we) know she could be talking nonsense (I highly doubt it). Unless you're there tasting what she's tasting and agreeing with what she's tasting how do you know her taste buds are on point? I'm honestly curious.
@@19MadMike I will tell you as your curious, she describes the ingredients, they are like an artists palate of colour, they know what mixing two colour or more will result in , what colour it will produce, as a chef I know what mixing different herbs and spices will create roughly what taste , she , Ruby , has described the herbs and spices and ingredients, by her awnsers I understand what flavour that would produce, and therefore her palate must be en point . Just like a wine sommelier will use words too describe the taste of wine , example Tabaco Box, Cherries , crushed berries , honey , passion fruit etc , he is conveying the different nuances of the wine , I hope this all makes sense , but also people less experienced would be less descriptive and have less of a flavour palate .
@@petrus666love Okay, thank you but how do you know what she is saying is actually accurate? I could make a video of myself eating some beans on toast and be like 'Mmm..Yeah, I'm tasting orange, cucumber, etc etc' How do you know I'm not just talking a load of nonsense?
My wife and I were at Border Grill last week (6/4/23) It was pretty good. I tried most everything except the sweet stuff. I just had a bite of my wife's. I think I had around 12 plates. I was full. Victor, our waiter, was great. Thanks Ruby!
Ruby, you do an amazing job with your descriptions. Rather than oou-ing and aah-ing, you use your words and we feel like we are tasting right along with you. Great job. I look forward to your next review.
Yes ABSOLUTELY loved this place. Had it in 2021-2023, they change the menu on certain items and keep a handful of them so have not had the chance to try some of the ones you had in video. Visiting vegas possibly late 2024 but for sure in 2025 fall. Can't wait to try again!
Ruby is such a foodie with the knowledge and effective descriptions. No elite food critic stuffiness. Props to Mr. Ruby who is always solid on the camera.
her spanish pronunciations are like the epitome of the cliche uncultured white person. Guajillo? Really? Let me guess u pronounce the L’s in tortilla and quesadilla too?
I have eaten at border grill a few times over the years, last week being the most recent time. It has always been good. I had the tortilla soup and beef tacos and they were both excellent.
Hey Ruby! I'd love to see a video on The Vdara. My fiancee are doing our honeymoon in Vegas and are really considering the Vdara since we'll be there for five days.
Yeah $45 just seems like a lot. You go with two people and it's $90 and doesn't even include drinks. But, the food looks really good. Glad you were able to try everything.
I'm coming to Vegas for the first time in August and staying at Mandalay Bay. I definitely will try this... By the way, can you also do a review on Chinatown? Thanks!
Hi Ruby! I am meeting some friends in Las Vegas for the first time and have binge-watched your channel. It's so good! I'm gluten-free, so I especially appreciate it when you mention restaurants that have a lot of gluten-free options or places that clearly label those items.
Love that place. It’s such an enjoyable spin on a buffet and the options are unique & yummy. Sitting on the patio is pleasant. I like that they are tasting size.
Horchata is a rice drink. It's rice soaked overnight with water then you blend it with cinnamon sticks. Strain to isolate the water and sweeten to taste with sugar cinnamon and vanilla
This must be a growing popular way to make French Toast. I was in Miami recently and had a dish like this. I’m Jamaican, so I loved how it tasted like porridge meets French toast - that condensed milk / confining / rice / oatmeal kind of flavor is delicious- but so decadent hard to have more than a few drinks.
@Neeka Bubbles it might be. It sounds delicious but honestly it sounds like it would be extremely sweet for me. Horchata is a sweet rich drink considered an Agua Fresca in latino cultures. It's definitely good so yeah if you try it let me know. MS RUBY enjoyed it and I'm sure it was super good 🥰
I have to say out of all the all you can eat places you have been too, I like this one the best. I like the idea of them bringing the food to you and the idea of a smaller selection, but it looks like the quality is really good and also the dishes look made to order. A lot of those all you can eat places have aa lot of food and food is thrown all over the place making it look less appetizing. This place would be a definite place to me to hit first when I visit.
I'm glad you enjoyed your experience! I completed my internship after culinary school at the original location in Santa Monica, and worked there as a line cook for 4 years. I helped train the original staff for the Vagas location as well as there lax location. This restaurant concept is amazing, utilizing the best providers they are a 100% scratch kitchen focused on sustainably. Price is a bit high but use premium ingredients. Susan and Mary sue are amazing (people/teachers)and do alot to give back to things they are passionate about.
Thanks for the video. Although this is AYCE there is no way to try all the selections in one sitting. Probably 2 or 3. But the food looks delicious. Ate there once (not the buffet) and rally enjoyed the food.
We ahd the brunch in April. My favorite was the salmon toast. It was Easter Sunday that we were there and they were very busy. I would say it was good, not great. Don't think I would go again though.
Are you talking about the deep state false flag shooting that was later blamed on a patsy that could have never pulled this operation off as a "lone gunman" ?
I’ll be there end of July what’s new in July? Any recommendations on restaurants for birthday, shows, etc? Always love ur videos TravelRuby keep it coming 👏🏽
Man!! Everything looked delicious and the way you ate everything up made it look even tastier!! I will definitely give this place a shot when I go back to Vegas in 3-4 months. Can't wait! Wow!!
I just ate there last week, did not get the AYCE brunch but did have the Mexico City Torta and the Capriotada for dessert. Both were absolutely incredible. Also had my food within ten minutes of getting there. Service was beyond great.
The breakfast enchilada looked good, like crab Rangoon... Shrimp on the small shell w/Bloody Mary taste, yummy... 1 order of Skirt Steak would do the trick 😋, l couldn't get my money's worth, at $46.99, can't eat that much any more without being very uncomfortable, ...
I am new to your channel. I really am enjoying your content… but .. some of the pronunciations of the Spanish words made me 😂😂 looking forward to more videos.
You are so good at food reviews. I hope someone picks you up at Food Network or some other tv show. You'd make a great reviewer on-air somewhere. You're very well-spoken and a true foodie.
This makes me annoyed that i arrive Monday for my next trip! Ive heard they have fun options, and if you can fill yourself unil dinner then 45 bucks aint bad
New subbie . . . and I have been viewing a lot of your back catalog. Just saw your Paris hotel review. My husband and I stayed at the Paris in 2013. We did the tip sandwich but with a $50 bill instead of a $20 to see what might happen. We were AMAZINGLY upgraded, to a full multi-room suite with two bathrooms - one for the lady with the things ladies would like . . . and a second for the man along the same lines. High up with a view of the Bellagio and nearby from our sitting room area. The foyer was as large as my main bedroom at home. It was an amazing trip. Thank you for sharing your great reviews with us!
Thoughts on this all you can eat brunch? Would you try it?
Yummy 😋

Spell: dining. Fine dining. Winning or whinging pom. Jamie's Italian restaurants by Jamie Oliver are overrated. Gordon Ramsay is rude as f*k.

I have always wanted to try this brunch, but there are many items to try. Ruby, outstanding job describing all the dishes. Thanks.

Guajillo
Gwa he yo
Chilaquilles
Chee la kee yes

Thanks for making me hungry Ruby
I’ve been meaning to try that brunch out at some point, it looks so good, Ruby!!
Beautiful review!!!
Great review, will add to list, when are you going to have a burger with Alex from every burger in Vegas? I've asked before too, tyvm tc

Is no one going to mention the Mandalay Bay tragedy? Glad they fixed those windows that were shot out.
It's so eerie, I would have a hard time staying there.
Dancing 💃 Ruby
Good video, Ruby. You got your money's worth.
Looks delicous
GREAT REVIEW ... the AUDIO seemed a bit off???
wow super yummy yummy
This was a good review 14:33
I hope y'all didn't have to drive far in the car to get home!
Wow, that steak looks like straight charcoal
imagine how boring food in usa would be without our mexican neighbors
Use a knife so you can eat and show without turning the food to mush.
It's "waheeyo" peppers not "waheelo"...
I would never go to this buffet. I did not care for any of the menu items. I like normal food.
You never talk about the toast’s texture. That’s a mistake.
Lol “if youre not familiar with guajillo peppers…” evidently you arent either. Cmon that pronunciation is horrendous
As always, your descriptions of each dish are detailed and amazing! I can't wait to try this on our next trip =)
I'm coming to Vegas for the first time in August and staying at Mandalay Bay. I definitely will try this... By the way, can you also do a review on Chinatown? Thanks!
Looks good to me.
Pronunciation tip: “Birria” is pronounced like “BEER-ee-ya”. 😊

Terrific review…really great descriptions of the individual plates 👍 really appreciate when a reviewer takes the time to actually review….thank you
Absolutely love Border Grill. I've been there three times when in Vegas but I have not tried the brunch. That is on the to do list for my next visit.

😂 at how you pronounce guajillo.. It's YO..not LO... just fyi 😂
All heavy, cheap cuts not going there
It has to be a challenge to try all the food and keep your weight down. Everything around us is a high carb world :(

Escabeche basically means pickled, like Kimchi and Pickles can be made from almost anything.
I am glad that I saw this video. We are going to do it 5/24
