Yggdrasil = Asgardian interpretation of the Celestial Axis Could the wheel turning mean the Celestial Axis shifting, ushering in the end of the current generation of gods (who are destined to be consumed by Gaea's other son Atum/Demogorge)?
AH! After watching this it suddenly makes sense why Watters had Loki become a villain at the end of his run. BTW, did you like that mini? I thought Watters did an amazing job with the narration, it felt very epic. Also, what a great use of Bullseye.
@@chad8767 True, true. I think what we're seeing in both books is a Loki who is slowly losing that battle between being good and being a villain. Now, I'm sure Ewing is setting Loki up for redemption here, but what will that look like?
Nah, I think the mini was just one writer doing their own thing, and their own thing is "so turns out loki was evil all along, but I need 4 issues to tell it". I thought it was building to sometihng else, but nah. The plot here in the main book, I think it would get here with or without the mini as it is just picking up directly from defenders beyond, not their recent mini. Notice this Loki never said they'd be a villain or evil, just implied they'd be "thor's enemy". There are many ways to be Thor's enemy, tehnically, without being outright evil or a villain. And Loki the story teller or the trickster is very skilled with playing the "technically correct" line.
@@louisvictor3473 I respectfully sort of disagree. Yes, it was definitely one writing g doing their thing, but it does fit with Ewing's plans, especially since at the end it's revealed that Loki is missing a tooth
He doesn’t. He’s in Valhalla now. Torunn Grønbekk used some of Donny Cates’ notes to quickly wrap up that storyline when Cates had to drop out of the series
@@ThorTalk Didn't care for Cates run, but I was very sad to learn why he had to drop. A really bad car accident and he was hospitalized for a while, and even out he was having trouble thinking straight. I hope he recovers soon.
Fantastic oration and exposition on Norse mythology. You really brought the story to life👏🏽👏🏽
You’re too kind, I’m glad you liked it
Toranos is the brother of Thor mom Gaea so he is Thor uncle.
Is he really? I thought that they were going to do something with Bor and Thanos. What happened with that? Is Bor still dead?
@@matthewschwartz6607 cates who was writing that story got into a car accident and was unable to continue it he is recovering ❤️🩹 tho.
Toranos: “Buddy, you think you look tough? You’re wearing a cape. You’re just a cheap fucking knock off.”
Thor: “Oh no no no… I’m the upgrade” 😈⚡️
I’m glad you’re back online,Thor talk.
want to see more of the elders! Bor, Tiwaz, Bestla...
Bor is very much likely staying with his son in Valhalla for this run, me thinks.
So far, so good. I hope the rest of the run keeps this quality
I love this stream so much thanks for this
You are the best

I did read one idea that Loki is being tricked by some higher up dieties, so this could work with that if they need a "story" to bring these gods in
Didn't thor kill demogorge?
In that weak Fraction story? No, he's appeared since then. Remember that Demogorge, Atum & Ra the Egyptian Sun God are all the same character.

I don't know, I don't think Loki is a true villain here. They seem to be working under the idea that they can help Thor
@@rosesweetcharlotte oh I agree. But he needed the setup for Loki to ask Thor if he trusted him as a villain.

Yeah this comic making me as hype as i was when Donny cates run on thor came out
I wasn't expecting a proto indo european reference.
Bro please make video on thor vs Scarlett witch. I think many people underestimated thor after love and thunder
Androgynous Loki looks like Michael Jackson.
Yeah, they really aren't my favorite look. I wouldn't mind more sharp features or something. Their face just looks too soft
@@rosesweetcharlotte Maybe he should just ditch the human look altogether. Wasnt he a horse in the myths a few times? Why not give that look a go?
@@MsClonetrooper Because horses are a pain to draw and Marvel really doesn't like to bring attention to the fact that he gave birth to a horse
5:18. Not really. The elder gods in marvel are millions of years old. They predate the dinosaurs
What about the mother of all storms wasnt she the first Thunder godess
Damn Thor really stalemated an elder god huh? Something tells me he’s gonna be an avatar for the one above all.
I've heard all gods are avatar of the one above all
Creative bankruptcy once again visits the God of thunder.😢

That is very much not what it is called, but do go on and explain what you meant. I will go make popcorn in the meantime.
Normally I like androgynous Lokis but I am just having trouble with their face. It just feels a bit too cute.
