Little-known lore about this game: you are a highly wanted criminal, and these boxes contain evidence of your crimes. Solve these puzzles or go to jail.
In regards to the burnt fragile box, Tyler, you're meant to learn about the mechanic in the level at 6:02, since you're forced to step on such a box to reach the fire. And it did disintegrate, you just weren't paying attention. :P
This is just a personal preference but I seem to enjoy these types of videos more when there’s less cut out. It makes them feel less substantial or like I’m missing out on something even if it’s unimportant. Even a short 3 second time lapse just feels better. Other than that, love the videos. I watch every single one right when it comes out unless I’m avoiding spoilers. Keep up the great work!
My favourite part about Tyler's videos is watching him work out a solution, but I feel like we miss that a bit here. That being said, I love the look of this game and I'd totally watch a whole series of this like I did the monster's expedition
Heavily edited videos like this take away from the experience for me so much. I find it hard to even watch them just because the puzzles or exploration "wasn't interesting."
He already played a lot of these levels when he played the demo, so it's to be expected that he'd go through these quite fast. Maybe he could add a timer for each level?
I remember back when you played the demo of this game. Super thrilled to see the full release! The neck puzzle was really cool. You could sort of see the fragile-ness in that puzzle you first burnt the crates in, though considering you stepped off it right before burning your stuff, I can understand missing the crate crumbling to ashes.
So glad you're giving this a go, I played through about 80% of the puzzles in the first few days, and thought that it would be right up your alley. I think I wishlisted it because of your first video.
Your channel is very unique. A lot of youtubers have a following for a specific game and anything else they post flops. With yours as long as it's a puzzle game of some sort people will watch. I imagine it's very refreshing not having to post a single game every day. But ANYWAY I would love to see more of this game. Looks fun to both play and watch
6:00 Tyler gets taught what happens when you burn the boxes. In fact you are forced by level design to learn this mechanic. 13:24 A few minutes later tyler has completely forgotten about the mechanic and thinks it is a new one. Jokes aside, they probably should've introduced the mechanic a bit better, maybe by having a level that makes the mechanic stand out more first after the first introduction. I'm not a game designer, but I've definitely seen smarter and better ways of introducing a mechanic in many other games.
I wake up at 5:30am and the uploads are scheduled to release at 6am, it's pretty much the perfect wake up every single day. Watching your videos is just such a great time every time. Absolutely my favorite creator by far.
This was made by the developer of Pipe Push Paradise (an excellent puzzle game that Tyler has not yet covered on this channel), and co-designed by the creators of A Monster’s Expedition. Both games I mentioned take inspiration for SSR, so it’s very unsurprising this game does too. However, this game’s puzzles are designed almost nothing like SSR’s puzzles, and much more like Pipe Push Paradise’s puzzles.
8:10 The dude only uses his arms! 😆 The man is fully torqued! He might not look it, but his shoulders and back are BUILT! There was no help from his quads at all in that lift.
Me: Notices that Tyler missed the burned box mechanic the first time it happens. Also me: Forgets about it immediately, don’t even think about it when needed.
Would like to give some love to your editor. Small jokes like the facecam on the boxes at 9:52 , the speeding up when needed etc really make Tyler's videos even more enjoyable.
Player character is a forklift, can lift a few metric tons, yet lacks the upper body strength to pull himself up 2 crates in height. Video games ladies and gentlemen.
I'd say it's like Monster's Expedition, in terms of the single mechanic (pushing a log, picking up boxes) with so many offshoots as it interacts with the environment of other logs/boxes and the natural terrain (rocks/water or blocks/fire)
i am glad i found your channel . i like those chill videos . also my smooth brain is hurting me from just looking a this game (tho i love this voxel art style . more voxel game should use it )
So Tyler, what's the motivation for cutting out content from the videos? Are you trying to fit the game into a smaller number of videos or are you trying to trim fat? I look forward to your uploads every night so I definitely wouldn't say no to more/longer videos with less cut puzzles
I guess that even though some watchers would watch any length video, quality over quantity keeping people wanting will probably keep more people watching. I can also see how the editing job is longer the longer the video. So at some point there's a cost/benefit to take into account.
@@16m49x3 Yeah I imagine at the end of the day, the most optimal solution is to do it the way he currently does it. This video wasn't a big offender actually, but some of the other times it really threw a wrench in the progression. I gotta learn to put faith in Ben and Tyler cause even though I'm curious about the cut puzzles, they probably are just quick and boring/too easy and wouldn't enjoy watching them anyway haha. Would feel like filler
After seeing the first few minutes I had to search your channel again because I swear I was getting some crazy deja-vu. Turns out I was right and you made a video on this game over 8 months ago.
Honestly it feels like when making another game they made some of these features by accident and decided “welp this’ll make a great puzzle game lets goooooooo
Underated. I watch Every daily upload. Nothing has been as good as the mega Neck Stack (let's just forget about Baba for a sec). I lie here. My jaw is dropped and I simply can do nothing but applaud.
That last outro comment about this not being good UA-cam content, why is that? I'm getting hardcore Monsters Journey from this. Also, your breakdowns about what your doing and why is delightful for people who enjoy critical thinking stuff. You've got a great balance of themes and stuff man, I don't like all your playlists, but the ones I do like (which is most) I love. I'm sure I can't be the only one
Little-known lore about this game: you are a highly wanted criminal, and these boxes contain evidence of your crimes. Solve these puzzles or go to jail.
Im bad at puzzles going to jail brb
Welp, guess I'm going to jail. Also, is it a life sentence? If it is, it's really putting pressure on you...
#6700 hell yeah top 7k
@@thunderboltpo “going to jail brb”
It's probably military things, that's why he's so strong.

came here to comment that ^^
@@silvestr4272 same
I wouldn't have noticed either
To be honest, it's not well designed since it's not the point of this puzzle and you can easily miss it as you run up to the end of the level
This is just a personal preference but I seem to enjoy these types of videos more when there’s less cut out. It makes them feel less substantial or like I’m missing out on something even if it’s unimportant. Even a short 3 second time lapse just feels better.

Personally wouldn't mind watching a series like this.
I would enjoy it
Same!
I just kinda enjoy watching anything Tyler does, lmao. One of the only good puzzle-game youtubers I know of.
Yes please. More of this
I think id prefer other series since a series of this would take up those midnight slots

Are you by any chance THE Alexander Wales, the writer lad of Worth the Candle fame?
@@laurelkeeper Yes, but I also watch UA-cam videos. :)
@@alexanderwales7870 Just an odd moment to find someone I know of in the comment section. Keep up the awesome work, man!

@Lucky Luc for me is 11pm
Is this from the Stephen’s sausage roll devs? The gameplay looks very similar
Sokoban-like games are fairly common I think
No, SSR was mostly just made by Increpare

@@notaidan4451 I'd say there are a couple of exceptions though; I think we can all agree "the crate tower" was very sausage-like
"The Crate Tower" feels just like a Tower of Hanoi!
00:23 "There are puzzles inside bonfires in real life too. It's called 'why does my hand hurt?'"
The oldest puzzle of man, ever since we discovered fire.
Legitimately laughed at that line
This game is fantastic, and it's great seeing you solve them. I'd love to see more!
When Tyler said Among Us, I felt that.
yeap was looking for this comment
Cant wait till Inscrytion fully comes out. That video was the first time I’ve seen it but I’m addicted
The regular crates are all empty, and my man has perfect posture. Stacking a bunch of boxes on his head is nothing

Aliensrock should play Dicey Dungeons, since he likes the whole strategy deck builder genre.
13:14 "you can't get yourself off" what a sad existence
This game owes a lot to the Deadly Rooms of Death series of games. I think DRoD is a perfect match for how Tyler approaches puzzles.
I think this was great. I hope he makes more youtube content anyway that was fun.
I would love to watch all of this game... just saying 20 to 30 minute blocks... heaven.
Can't wait for the rest of this series. Also have you considered playing outer wilds, because it's a puzzle game that I think you would enjoy
