  • No one like to paint with chunky paint!! It simply doesn't feel right when stroking the brush.
    Well, this video will give you a pro tip that will get rid of the chunkies!!
    1) Get a clean cut can
    2) Get a strainer
    3) Pour the chunky paint into the strainer
    4) Spin it!
    5) Place the dirty strainer into the old can. Lid it!
    Wha-la. You got fresh paint!

    But where do we get the strainers? What kind /size of mesh? And what about those cone strainers, for those of us who want to strain into a funnel? Where to buy those - and which ones work?

      Thanks for your question. You can buy the strainers at any paint store or Hardware store. The cone ones work but are meant to be disposable. You can also buy the 1 gal and 5 gal strainer bags.

      @@TrustedHousePainter Thanks. The cone strainers, at 190 micron, seem very fine, I'm not sure the paint will go through there? I didn't see anything much coarser. I didn't see a micron rating listed on the elastic net strainers.

      Why do you paint the rim at the end?

      @@The_MacaroonI believe it’s to thin out the paint because when paint dries and is thick around the edge of the can, it can fall back into your paint if you have to paint out the same can in the future, I do maintenance work and hate when it gets into the paint after it dries up especially when reopening the lid
