It's a tough task for the developers to improve a machine that has survived the test of time..Kudos to the engineers at Suzuki for achieving this perfection without losing the essence of Hayabusa..Long live legend..
Just came back from the mountain twisties doing 200miles in my 06'. I am glad that they kept the same engine and introduced the electric components and new style elements to the busa. Thank you Suzuki and all your employees that delivered this beauty.
Welcome to the most undervalued brand around. Amazing effort, to improve something that has been almost perfect in the past. To the ones complaining about peak power, remember that the engine has a lot more in it, it's very restricted, specially because of Euro 5, wtih a tune and decat at least 2 of the 3 catalytic converters and you will be close to the 200hp mark, if not past it
Yeah people so quit complaining and just appreciate that they didn’t discontinue the bike all together, most of youwouldn’t even know how to handle the hp that it already has much less the increase that y’all are asking for, get real,
Off top of my head, I can't think of a single motorcycle currently for sale, which looks better. Two thumbs up for that! I like how they focused on adding power where it is most needed (most needed being relative, as it's not as if ay 'Busa was ever lacking anywhere at all...), instead of at redline, where it has plenty already. Racers are going to retune the engine for more peak power no matter what the factory does. Much better they focus on the needs of street riders, who are more likely to leave it stock. And: Clay models which anyone, including test riders and designers, can see, walk around and touch and feel, is just plain amazing these days. Ditto endless physical prototypes. Much more likely to unearth little bugbears, as well as to inspire inputs for improvement from diverse team members; than the currently fashionable practice of keeping everything in CAD almost all the way up to production, then ending up overcommitted to the design by the time tooling is in place. The physical way may take longer, hence result in slower update cycles and seeming a bit more "old fashioned", but for those organizations who have the resources and processes in place, it's just a better way of delivering an ultimately more refined product. Kudos to Suzuki for keeping it real (as opposed to virtual)! Now all that's left is fooling myself into believing a 200hp, 186mph missile makes any sort of sense at all, for someone spending 90% of riding time hacking through dense, urban traffic at less than 50mph.... :(
@Suzuki workers : I am pleased with what you have done with this new bike. Beautiful machine. I like that it has got Brembo brakes and Bosch IMU, but what is the brand of the ABS unit ? Sent with love from France, my Japanese friends ❤
I love how many times "trial and error" is mentioned here when it comes to making improvements over the previous generation. So often, people in management positions do not understand the concept of trial and error because they think it wastes time and money. It actually saves time and money in the long run because it lessens the chance of coming to market with a flawed product.
This thing should have 220hp especially when you're basically the same bike as previous generations with a overall refresh to the body. Superbikes are at or alittle over 200bhp and the busa is a hyperbike, with that being said 220BHP!
@@busybee2148 my point exactly, I'm pretty sure the Hayabusa has not lost any weight so give it more power, to today's stands it definitely needs 220bhp
Suzuki wants Hayabusa to be a perfect touring sport bike..That's why they improved the low to mid range performance which is the most frequent rev range a rider uses..No one hits the top speed frequently..Also with improved emissions Suzuki is caring for the environment as well..
Salutations motardes. Busa31 France
2021 Suzuki Hayabusa ....... The Legend is Back :). Just one question though, why is the position lights with integrated turn signals not available for the Indian specification units?

With only 164 kg it a crazy fast machine than new busa
