1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup Truck Restoration Project
Project Description:
This blue 1955 Chevy truck came to MetalWorks Classic Auto Restoration shop for a full restoration. The 55 sits on an Art Morrison chassis with Wilwood disc brakes, and a new GM Performance engine and transmission all supplied by Speed Shop.

My dad had a 57 blue like this with white top. It was a rust bucket way back in the early 60's. All I can say is that it takes a lotof time, money and effort to polish a turd and make it beautiful.

What a beauty....I owned one of these trucks when I was 16 and bought it for $ 175. It had no rust,and it had a 283 which ran great.Memories is what this truck brought back.Thanks Guys,love your work...

I can't believe they just left the inner roof skin bare, I know it'll not rust but when you see the lovely surface they gave to the inside surface of the wings ('fenders' to you septics) I can't help thinking they missed a trick there. Shame 'cause their work is outstanding. Wouldn't have chosen such a pale colour myself but it's a very clean finish.

What did you do with the edge of the carpet at the door steps? Some kind of sill plate to go over the edge or just beading on the edge of the carpet laying flat?
