80 years Abondened Antique Rusty old Hand Drill Restoration :: Treasure or junk? :: ASMR

  • This is a restoration of an ground found antique hand drill. From what I can tell from the leather on the top, it must be sitting in the dirt for a very long time.
It is impossible to guess its exact production date, but I guess It must be around 1950s .Newer models have two gears .(They work smoother)
I plan to use it in my workshop so I tried to keep the original parts.
    Thanks for watching. :)

this just goes to show how well tools & infact how good everything was made when this drill was made, when it can go to a state like this & then be brought back to life, we owe it to the people who made the things like this who are no longer with us, to look after the objects they made, & left us, they are a work of art in their each individual self, i have esp in my kitchen, allsorts of old victorian tools & kitchen equipment etc, hanging up on hooks all over the place., cos i just like to look at them, & to use them now & again.

@@ammarkhan7371 Gloves get caught in the rotating parts and pull your hand in. I was never formally trained in machining, but had my own machine shop to suppliment my business. Sometimes I could not find a part or did not have the time to order one, so I made a new one. I also dabbled in metal puzzles and art. One day I was using the mill with gloves and the tool caught my glove. Fortunately it pulled the glove off without grabbing my hand. Lesson learned, no more gloves. I still have all my fingers and I use every one of them.

Here I do not understand: why, more precisely, WHY try to twist the bolts of a thoroughly rusty tool at first without wd-40?! It's clear to the hedgehog that he can break off.

In fact, excessively rusted bolts may sometimes have the possibility of idling. I wanted to try my luck before using WD-40.

PLEASE do NOT call your videos ASMR unless you know what it means.😡👎
Autonomous sensory meridian response is a tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.
I doubt this video gives anybody the tingles. The closest thing is the chills down your neck and back watching a horror movie.
