Also with the destruction of the northern Air temple which of the other air temples do you think the new airbenders will take over, western, southern or eastern. I personally think the air benders will take over the western air temple and the acolytes will leave to the southern and eastern air temples. I think the eastern air temple will be an acolyte temple until the water avatar after korra and the southern until the fire avatar after korra.

She mastered waterbending, saved the world when she was 14,
Learned bloodbending and was a big inspiration and motive for Aang to make these desicions which led to rebuplic city's creation. C'mon guys, credit Katara a bit.
Katara needs to be honored
They waited til Aag die to build his statue, but Zuko was still alive. Aag wouldn't want one if they didn't do the same for Katara.

HONOR!!!!
Considering how firebenders bend, it isn't all too strange. Their attachment to their inner conflicts directly translates to their bending more so than any other bender. Their fire literally pools from emotion, chi and desire.
Nature was just like *"Oh shit! we made the fire benders too strong! Gotta make them super dramatic to maintain balance!"*
Katara deserves a statue too like they put it in front of a hospital because she was good at healing you know....
I mean technically arent there a lot of other waterbender healers... Do you expect them to build a statue every generation of the most prominant of them? Also every avatar has had people around them and masters they learned from who helped them in stopping whatever major conflict was going on in the world at that time. I think our personal bias of seeing her character and empathising with her across 3 seasons of a great show is why we feel like the world should still revolve around them.
Sid
It is stated in Korra that Katara is the best healer in the world
@@clouwds5739 wasnt that just korra saying that? Thats equivalent to taking the word of someone saying their mom is the best cook is the world. This is an absolutely perfect video with one mistake, Azulon is Zuko's Grandfather and Sozin is his GREAT grandfather. But you are correct that Sozin was the key player in creating the first colonies including Yu Dao which half the video is about, and you are correct that Ozai continued to expand and take care of the colonies. But Azulon did as well, all 3 of them played a big part, but just a little mix up with the grandfather and great grandfather (you can pin this if you want because so many people are saying this)

i agree i don’t like the whole technology change
Back in the original I really loved the fire nation because it was militarily, the most advanced of the nations. I mean from their ships at sea to those massive airships in the sky they seemed almost destined to win. So, it was a pretty big letdown when the fire nation ships rocked up in Kora and got their asses handed to them by some biplanes. I mean, c'mon, you guys had zeppelins freaking use them, did they just disregard the fact that air support is a thing? The Fire Nation was hands down my favorite back in the original, every time they came on screen, I knew something cool was going to happen. Maybe they had cool moment in the show after they got owned but that scene made me lose any will to finish this thing.
That one dislike was Amon

After "Imbalance" comic it should be the story of Aang & Katara's marriage, building the air temple island, the death of Aang. Supported with Toph police academy story, Sokka humour, Zuko's dragon & white lotus story
Katara maybe deserve to has a statue, but maybe she acclaimed as "Avatar's Wife". But, if it should be a statue for Katara, hospital maybe the best place 😊. Appreciation of Katara's healing power & the willingness to behave in using bloodbending
Katara plays an important role too: heals Aang when he striked by Azula Lighting & helps Korra recover from Red Lotus poison
Given her resentment at being forced into a healing role (even though she was great at it), more likely that she would have a statue in front of a naval base or something.

I'd sooner except Wolverine from the X-Men dying than hear Aang die. :( He's the sort of character that honestly should have adventure after adventure going forever. From depth to soul force to jus over all character, he's the dopest Avatar of them all. Everything outside of his story jus feels like "blah."
@tejas awale he died at like 40

Topic alone earned you a thumbs up before even watching
I think katara deserves a statue near a hospitel in the south pole she needs a position where she grabs aang and healing him like she was at the end of book two this idea is pretty good isn't it? It shows how effective healing is because she saved her closest person, well he was her pre-boyfriend just before boyfriend tied to her brother and all of her family
Given her attitude towards healing (which was that it was good, but not something she should be forced into), she deserves her statue to be in front of the main SWT military headquarters more.
We knew them so well as kids, it's hard to imagine Aang and Sokka Dead and Gone.
Wow you are such a Ravenclaw! 😂
When I was a few pages into Imbalance, I got so excited. I was hoping it'll depict how Aang and Zuko created Republic City.
The arena solid gold?
I don't think so though using little gold on it's outside is a think, if it were made out of gold it would not only be too expensive but statics and physics say "NOPE!"
This was a great video though and I still remember the sense of wonder when I watched the first few episodes which explored the city, the concepts and care put into the Avatar series are simply amazing.
Could you do the Beifong family, including Toph's family
I hate how they just changed everything and made a city. The poor earthbenders.
Ugh I wished they would continue the show again 😭😭
Maybe the reason why Katara doesn’t have a statue is because as time went on and they got older, Katara started to play a more low key role. Especially after she had her first child. It doesn’t seem like she was doing anything big other than raise her family. Aang is the avatar. Zuko is Firelord. Sokka was a chief and councilmen. And Toph was chief of police so I doubt she was ready to retire so quickly. That’s why they have statues and Katara doesn’t
But of course she still deserves a statue.
I seriously doubt she would allow being a mother to get in the way of her military duties (given her waterbending mastery she likely was a key figure in the SWT military after the war), or serving as a healer when needed. We do know she served as a White Lotus master eventually (as seen in her first LOK appearance).
@@bkjeong4302 I didn’t say she became a mother completely. I just think that she started to play a more low key role. Like you said, she could have from time to time helped out. But based on the show, Katara wasn’t doing anything big and obvious like the others as an adult. We just know that now, elderly Katara is a White Lotus master.
@@destiny3992 We only saw snippets of the others as adults (and for Zuko we got nothing, even though we know he was busy running his nation and all). So I don't buy the argument she basically retired early and only helped out from time to time.
@@bkjeong4302 Yeah but I’m just going based off of what we actually know and not assuming. All we know about Katara is that she raised her children and is now a White Lotus master. Stating the obvious isn’t taking away from her greatness

When a show over 10 years old is still talked about you know it’s good
I don't know man. I feel like the republic city kinda ruined the aesthetic of the Original avatar. I know that the show have to progress along with technologies and everything but still...
Republic City is the hub of knowledge and technology in the four nations. It's the only technologically advance area around as well.
I think all those technological advancements were halted because of the prolonged war
It's called natural progression, in our world it took 40 years after the steam engine to have electricity. Lightbulbs and radio waves.
The world not advancing would be weird.

I know Katara probably liked a peaceful life but I hate the writers kinda dismissed her power in LOK.
