I'm unreasonably obsessed with Blade Runner.
*reasonably!
Dude, whats not to be obssesed with, theres just more to this universe and we want to know, but theres no way to find more than the main movies and shorts
Edit: sorry, there is actually more, its in book novel forms, my bad
Best obsession ever!
I'm unreasonably obsessed with the Roy Batty death scene.
Why not comrade?
It's all crap out there.
Do what you like...you won't make it out alive anyway.
It's actually raining where I live as I listen this. This sounds better than actual rain.

And its raining now while i listen to this veru early on a saturday morning.
I love the rain,,
And i often say,
'Its not raining enough for me'
Cpuple that with a mispent youth enlightened by lsd, plus a love of sci-fi,
And recovering from a huge long muddy lowpoint in my life,
And its no suprise,
Im in here AGAIN.

Happy as a pig in shit to be honest.
I know i'll be back to sleep soon, so real life wont be bothering me.

They must put this movie it in UA-cam.
Perfect for dreaming of electric sheep.

Sorry but in my humble opinion this didn't do the real movie justice. I saw it (while I stopped myself for nearly 2 years) blade runner 2. Just because I'm starved for something genuine, doesn't mean I have to dig be 2049
@@DrBullCrap WTF are you talking about. "...like tears in rain" is from the original Blade Runner movie.

Wow, I closed my eyes for a minute, I was back in my childhood, Mobile, Alabama. A cold rainy night, I could almost feel the moisture in the air.
That's where I'm from too. May seem like a rather ordinary boring place sometimes, but I always get homesick after a trip.

This is nice for studying/working. Sometimes, even normal ambient music is too "crowded" or distracting for me. Amazing work.
Agree
How about no music when studying/working? Jesus...
@@dregant you just sound kinda rude, “Look at me, I’m better because I don’t like music that can help me get into a better head space”

agree. Jazz piano and other ambient music are sometimes touching my nerve.
Feel like I'm drinking tea in a small restaurant in Hong Kong on Nathan Road watching umbrella-covered faces move through the rain outside. Beads of rainwater trickle down misty windows that distort the neon signage in a dreamlike display. A warm, cozy apartment awaits me after the last of my tea, knowing I have to venture into the rain to get there. That's just me.
Sounds wonderful!
Only someone who's done that could be so accurate.
Nothing like a drizzling, foggy night in Wan Chai...except maybe a drizzling, foggy night in Shinjuku.

@@SemperFine Okay! It is my profession!
Why are you watching everyone safe in the confines of your tea shop, thought you'd be standing on a street corner half bathed in glowing neon avoiding the hustle and bustle of the faceless crowd whilst trying to stay covered and away from the driving rain, under an unused doorway for the sake of your half lit cigarette. You dont know why your there, but you feel its the right thing to do at this very moment in time, waiting for the gap in the masses and the unrelenting downpour.... seems a waste to not finish the cigarette, all you've got waiting for you in your cramped dingy apartment are reminders and a half empty bottle of scotch...

I always come back to this video and the other versions. It's helps me neutralize the stress I didn't know I was bearing, even if it is for a slight moment. Blade Runner is one of my favourite films. This ambiance, especially on a cold rainy day, makes me feel free, weightless and also nostalgic. I feel a nostalgia for something that hasn't happened yet, does that make sense? Thank you Ryan for making these Blade Runner ambiances, for making me and other people with same feelings weightless through our lives and I thank you for the hard work you put into making these for us. These videos will be in my life until it's time to die...

Always liked the sound of gentle rain, and distant thunder. Even better when mixed with this haunting music. Genius.

Emotionally turbulent times for me... Listening to this masterful mix has helped immensely. Haunting sounds, addictive. Mesmerising.... I was always a Blade Runner fan, this has renewed my passion for its soundtrack

What is the tannhauser gate?
hex warp ...
Just for clarification....👍
...
Tannhäuser Gate
The place name Tannhäuser Gate (also written "Tannhauser Gate" and "Tanhauser Gate") is not explained in the film. It possibly derives from Richard Wagner's operatic adaptation of the legend of the medieval German knight and poet Tannhäuser.[15] The term has since been reused in other science fiction sub-genres.[16]
Joanne Taylor, in an article discussing film noir and its epistemology, remarks on the relation between Wagner's opera and Batty's reference, and suggests that Batty aligns himself with Wagner's Tannhäuser, a character who has fallen from grace with men and with God. Both man and God, as she claims, are characters whose fate is beyond their own control.[
@@erhardt1477 yes, i thought is sounded familiar. I haven't thoroughly probed Wagner's lexicon. But it makes sense in context. Thanks for the reply.

This, and your 2049 version have consistently gotten me into that nice "flow" state for deep focus. Very few ambient mixes have been able to achieve that for me. Good job!

I have of late been reading Paul M. Sammon's Future Noire: the making of Blade Runner with your ambient track in the back ground and I must say it has been the most rewarding experience right across the board. Normally I am not a fast reader but with your track playing in the background I plowed through the first 6 chapters in one sitting. The Ambience of the track keeps me really locked into the novel. Many thanks!
