- Bajaj Introduced the Dominar back in 2016 and we rode it first in 2017. Since then Bajaj has been taking all it can to make it's flagship product even better. Now with an upgraded engine and slew of changes all over, the Dominar is back in its UG avatar. The motor now produces 40 PS of power with a new exhaust and an exquisite colour scheme too. We had a quick spin and in this video, we have answered the most critically important questions.

Dominar is way better in my opinion!
The Bike is A-okay. The real hurdle in low sales of Dominar is Bajaj itself.
I have visited two of Bajaj showrooms in Kanpur and am very disappointed with the pathetic sales strategy of Dominar. Not a single demonstration bike and not even a single canopy posters of the same can be found anywhere. It seems as if Dominar doesn't exist for their own Bajaj people. When asked why is it like this they reply that who will buy such a costly bike for 2 lakh rupees. I mean are they programmed to sell platina and discover likes only. They don't even have any service personnel properly trained to service the Dominar.
The staff is almost clueless as of what exactly the product is.
Bajaj should not cry foul again after one year or two about low sales figures if they continue with the present pathetic sales, marketing and no availability of Dominar in Bajaj showrooms. It's my request to you people to Kindly let them know about the real problem faced by the interested customers who are left with nothing but disappointment by Bajaj staff and Bajaj's marketing negligence for selling Dominar. Hope it will ultimately help the customers and Bajaj at the same time.
The showroom guys are actually right. Who even buys a 2lakh+ rupee Bajaj bike?

Someone who doesn't follows foreign brands sheepishly without doing any in-depth research and last but not the least... Someone with his hard-earned amount of 2 lakhs who doesn't exactly wants to spend 3 lakh on Interceptor(A great bike though) and someone who doesn't want a track-happy bike as Duke 390 or a 40 kmph happy RE 350 segment.

Or are you saying Bajaj is a better brand than the Japanese Four and European established brands? The only USP dominar has is it's affordable for those lower middle and middle class wannabe riders. Don't talk about hard earned money in this context; better to save up for a lil longer time and invest that hard earned money on reliable, world-class, better performing products instead of unreliable, unrefined, underperforming local copies.

Obviously it’s value for money because for 2 lakhs you can get a duke 250 which is slower and has less features such as the LED headlights and better sound too.
Yes Dominar is a VFM But Duke 250's Looks are good (like Future Gen), Quality is Good, Now comes with Dual Channel ABS & most Important its a KTM bike & yeah Girls Love KTMs Hahhaaha LoL

Dominar is for extreme performance and classic 500 is just for the feel .... And i would love to have both of these motorcycles in my garage 👍🙇

For me just 2 things missing than what was expected in update,
1. Electronic accelerator i.e. ride by wire.
2. Weight cut by at least 10-15 kgs.

Of Course Dominar... We have to change us as technology changes. RE look and Feel like it's totally outdated; old Console with few info; So much vibes when cruising 100 to 110; oil leak from head and near Spark plug, i don't like a single feature of RE.

Music, Camera angles & Editing feels just the right, and hence enhances viewing pleasure. *Nonetheless, D400 has now "truly arrived".* For those who feels it still lacks, Simply replace stock tires to 'PIRELLI ANGEL GT' for precision all-round grip Or 'CONTINENTAL TKC70' for superior off-road performance !

Technology and manufacturing always evolves bro. There's nothing we can do about it. You have gotten the pleasure and comfort of owning a mid range performance bike for two years. Nobody can take that away from you.
I had bought himalayn 2.5 years back and thrn again bought second himalayn even compared to dominar.
Happily saying 100% satisfied with my himalayn both and i m saying decision was right..

Mahindra rebadges Ssyangyongs and sells them in India, their own products look nightmarishly ugly and are fucking substandard and unreliable. TVS even with collaboration with world-class BMW is unable to deliver a world-class product. Bajaj has no original R&D in a very long time. 220f is still their best product, whatever bikes came next are just cheap and low quality copies of KTM. These 3 Indian makers are actually an embarrassment to the nation.

XUV 500 is the only decent product in their stable and even that "SUV" suffers from all the above-mentioned drawbacks. People still dont see the "Shark inspired" design on marazzo. XUV 300 is again a Ctrl C + Ctrl V job of Tivoli. The front fascia is a daylight copy of Jeep's trademark front grille. Mahindras sell only because of their blingy features which don't even last a year at best. I bet even a Tata semi with leaf springs have a better suspension compared to a alturas G4

I went from a CBR250 to a Bullet 500 because I couldn't find the Dominar 400 in Thailand last year. I'm interested in the Dominar but maybe now the Enfield Twin 650. Good review from MotorBeam - I like the fair assessment of alternatives for the same price.

When will bajaj bring modifications and improvements in their VFM rs200. Improving suspension , vibrations and providing more information on its console like the KTM and r15. Cause if they do that then no one can beat this beast .🔥

Damn, Dominar is looking good with all the improvements! I've been waiting for this 2019 model. I hope Kawasaki brings in this upgraded Dominar soon to the Philippines. Probably my choice for a disyance commuter bike.

It has more power and features then the classic 500.
Secondly while riding dominar feels lighter compare to the royal Enfield classic 500. I have personally feel it.
Most importantly we can do Hyper riding on dominar.
So according to me dominar is value for money.

@@sakthiraj306 bro the rpm limit the horse power and the ktm influenced mid range acelaration are all implemented on this new machine. This machine can easily cross 170. Apache has no chance to catch up with the dominar anymore.

This seems like a perfect update to the existing dominar. Yes it is still worth every penny you pay. And the point about the secondary display is true. It should have been the other way to be more practical. Anyway, overall I still would consider this motorcycle if I was out there as a buyer.
I have been riding this motorcycle (2021) and it has been more than 1000 km. It is my second motorcycle and i can say that with this budget, this is the best motorcycle to buy. It has a good power. It is sufficient for both in the city and intercity. It is so comfortable to cruise long distances on this bike.
Only things that i don't like are these:
1- power is good but it could go in higher rpms. the top speed could've been better.
2- Kind of heavy. Doing sharp turns is not too hard. Only thing is that it is so hard to go backwards, especially when the road is a bit steep.
3- the dash makes an annoying sound. The dash parts aren't put together well.
4- The bike tends to go right when you take your hands off the handlebars (is because the exhaust is a bit too heavy)
5- On low speeds, (happens to me only on the 2nd gear for some reason) the engine stops out of nowhere.
6- Neutral. Idk if it is an issue that only i experience. But even though the light turns on when i put the gear in the neutral, when i get my hands off the clutch, the neutral light turns of and the bike works on a very slightly higher rpm. still in neutral but not exactly on the neutral. you have to keep switching between first and neutral until you get it right. It is so annoying.
other then these, the bike performs very well, it is comfortable. reliable engine and it is good quality. Not high quality. But it is reliable and has decent quality. Instead of buying a mt25 g310r g310gs, or duke 390, this costs less and is good. Also, it is powerful than the g310gs
