Joey Joleen Mataele is a public figure and icon in the Polynesian LGBTQ community worldwide. She has paved the way and provided a safe space for people like myself, to show up in life as our true being. Thank you Joey Joleen Mataele for giving us a voice and the courage to just be.
I admire and adore you Joey!!! You and some of the other queens before have paved the way for all of us! My father speaks highly of you! Thank you for your constant advocacy and to all of our queens in the pacific and around the world. We hear you and we won't be silent! Ofa atu!
You deserve to be treated as equal. I believe in Oneness of Humankind. Here in Tonga there religious faith is mostly Christian. The powerful tool that Christ taught us is to love one another not judging people's lives. Keep up the good work....
“You should be arrested because it’s illegal here in Tonga” that part made me sick. Use to live in Tonga and see that guy preach all over DBN or TBN..koe ha kovi oku nau fai ki he kakai Tonga? People are not doing their research in the Bible...Jesus condemns..not you ...shout out to Joey Mataele for bringing what’s hidden in the dark to light❤️🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Olivia Aholelei Omg I was thinking the same tho...I agreed with you they dont had to judged ppl life and also not bring God as their backup..that preacher is really making me sick...
These ladies make me so proud to be a trans woman! As a western woman, I'm so fascinated by indigenous cultures having a role for those of us who are this way.
Everybody deserves respect even if we disagree with their choices. I don't think that pastor read the part of the Bible that starts "Judge not..." but he should
So sad to see that Christianity has ruined this deeply historic aspect of our culture, to the point people are now violent against leitis and try to use 'God' as their backup, which only contradicts what it means to be Christian. 'Ofa atu to all the leitis of Tonga and other māhū across the Pacific, I pray that we regain our ancient cultural values.
I really agree with you where they try to use God, the people should know that there is a difference between agreeing and loving. If they are real christians, they should love all kinds irrationally.
What a joke! The real curse is the ignorance that people have towards their fellow human beings, by using religion as a tool, not looking into their hearts and feeling, asking "what if I was the other person on the receiving end?" Religion is supposed to be a tool to free you, not enslave you into believing extremist dogmas.
Never heard a pastor speak like this, its really sad. If your wife gv birth to someone like them are u gna arrest him or kill him..?? Love ur neighbors yo!
