When the time becomes 08:00 (8:00 AM) in MSTS, that's when the sky changes from sunrise yellow to blue. It's a jarring transition, but it's a game from 2001, time-of-day transitions in games have certainly improved.
When I was young, I would always steal that second GP38 and the tank cars you pass by on the way out.
