This makes me wish I was able to grab more than one copy of the Grand Staircase- thankfully, I still have a few of the Monster Books hanging around, but jeez- the VIP add on packs shocked me- I figured they’d be worth more than just a typical polybag, but man.. I’ve gotta go look to see what I have for those lol. I’m glad I’ve kept most of my GWPs sealed & set aside for a bit- you clearly never know with those! Great job with the sales! As for the 3 in 1 witch- thanks for teaching me to just go for the GWP even if the set itself literally creeps me out! 😂 I saw that and thought “decent parts pack, but, I don’t want that box staring at me-“ so I didn’t even bother. Crazy profits on some sets that I really didn’t expect would be worth anything!
The 1989 Batmobile promo was probably the most expensive one that comes to my mind. That was a limited supply and you can only get it if you buy the $250 Batmobile.
So you can go to lego store and make more purchases again and again to earn points and also they will give you gwp to each order ? Or it is limited to one purchase ať store directly. Thanks.
Would you consider a set you got by redeeming insider points as free? I got the 40703 Micro Ninjago City for 2700 points. I logged it as a $20 cost as that is the value of voucher I could of redeemed for the same points.
I am wondering if jumping on these promos ASAP and putting them on sale immediately might be the best way forward because: 1) The market supply is low 2) Faster turnaround on investing means you can compound your gains Because for example the pirate polybag (40515) currently has over 100 available for sale on bricklink between $8-13. Very impressive to get a sale at $25.90.
Fun fact: You can use a discount voucher and still get the GWP, as long as the original retails price threshold is met. GWP being available just for a very limited time, makes these sets even more sought after. In the end, you make a profit, no matter the price you can sell them for.
Majisto is worst GWP last year. Tons of it stays on shalves in Poland. Nobody wants if for stickers and trash Majisto minifig. Thanks god it was "free" unless you bought on Lego only to get it. Terrible investment set
These sets aren't free. You still have to buy enough to hit the thresholds. There is no extra monetary cost so it can be a great way to get more bang for your buck.
Imo the botanical gwp Is one to hold. With the first botanical set retired recently and this being and awesome gwp it could be a tough one for collectors to track down in a few years
The gwp are a lot cheaper in the Netherlands. 7.50 for the polybags 3 1 witch 12.50. The best performer is hideout set 40 45

You can break up what you get into multiple sales to hit the threshold multiple times.
Depends on the store.

Flowerpot, Disney 100th Anniversary Set and HP Book of Monsters were the best.
Is it best to sell the GWP while the promo is still running? Or better to wait until after the promotion has ended?

What about the forestmen hideout GWP? I just sold one for $45.
Thanks for the video! I gotta buy some shipping boxes to start selling my GWPs!
