I'm what you would call a character loyalist. Some characters just speak to me from the jump, like Strider in MvC and K' from KOF. But that being said, I do feel like I'm missing out sometimes by not switching around my main every once in a while, and I'd probably be better at these games if I did.

When I watch videos of pros ranking Ed they always say he is A and towards the bottom of A but I feel like he is S tier. A couple of tournaments have been won using Ed.
Endingwalker won a bunch of tournaments in Europe pre-Ed with ryu but that doesn’t mean ryu was s tier during sf6 1.0. Placements are a method to judge character strength but not the only way, results based analysis can be a trap based on the matchups they run into in bracket, or if certain character reps are just so much better than their regional competition.
I'd love to know your main character selection decision process. I watched you play Oro in sf5. Then JP. Now Ed. I'm trying to find a pattern but the only thing I can think of (I'm a scrub btw) is that they're all weird characters??

I'm paraphrasing a bit here from what he's said in the past so apologies if that's a little off. But look at it as Tengu Stones -> JP level 2 -> Ed level 2... that's not all of it but for simplicity's sake :p

It looks to me like you just have a few defensive lapses that need some work. You're definitely very good, have good confirms and conversions and offence in general but you could see the nerves on your face and in your defence. Honestly at your skill level you aren't far from the highest tier of SF players but you play a character that compounds your weaknesses.
