Could you briefly mention what they did on your Springfield Loaded model? Is it stainless or blue?
I ordered an Atlas, they did nothing but bad mouth Nighthawk. Discovering that Atlas was just a follower of Nighthawk, I fully believe in Nighthawk , now 100%

Full disclosure, I have been a big Nighthawk fan for several years now and own several of your guns, not quite a dozen yet but I'm getting close. I always like the looks of the stainless Kimber Raptor, and finally I was able to buy one at a great price, so I jumped on it. The first time I took it to the range it did not shoot anywhere near what I was used to and the trigger was not to my liking, but I still liked the looks of the gun. So I figured I would put it in the back of the safe, and simply not fire the gun.
I wrote a nasty (humorous) email to Mark Stone (owner and CEO) and blamed him and his company for spoiling me, and blamed him for my dislike of the Raptor. Luckily he saw the humor in my note, and I got into a discussion w/ some folks at Nighthawk and was made aware of Bob and his group. After several conversations I decided to send Bob the gun. His group put in a new match grade trigger and action tuned the gun. This included them machining the feed ramp to correct angle and polish, throat barrel and polish, ream chamber and polish, radius, polish, and tune extractor, adjust and tune ejector, and a few other odds and ends.
To make a long story short, the gun was now as accurate as my other Nighthawks, the trigger was smooth as silk w/ no slack or take-up. Basically it was 90% a Nighthawk. They made a silk purse out of a sows ear. The work exceeded my expectations, I was thrilled! I highly recommend Bob and his team, they do great work and are reasonably priced. Thx Bob...

It's hard to say. The time varies quite a bit from job to job.

I have a Springfield emp 4 champion. And it has issues chambering a lot of hollowpoints. Idk if it’s a mag issue or feeding ramp. But I noticed when I don’t load the mag at full capacity (10 rounds) and instead load 7 or 8 rounds it will chamber fine.
Interesting. Could be a mag issue.
@@NighthawkCustomFirearms ok, so even when there’s only 7-8 rounds in mag and I drop the slide to chamber, the bullet tip gets depressed in.. is that normal?

Is there a way for Canadians to ship their guns to you?

Yes we sure do! About every week. IOS capability depends on the model I believe. Let us know what model it is and we will check.
I see you offer black nitride as a coating for your pistols. Do you offer full DLC as well? If so how much does that add for the upgrade? I'm looking at the TRS Commander for reference.
We do offer full DLC. It should be noted that on the TRS Commander, the grip module cannot get a DLC finish because it is anodized aluminum. The frame and slide can both be finished with DLC.
With the new Hi-Powers coming to market (SA-35, FN new models, etc.) with you offer options with those or is it limited to original run of Hi-Power pre-discontinueing
We haven't really had a chance to look at any of the new models. It's possible though.

It's probably going to be a little bit before our slides are back in stock. Every slide we make is going towards a new build right now.
@@NighthawkCustomFirearms that's understandable; I'm doing an 80% build. Was going to get a caspian, but ended up trying out a heavy armor division slide. My last one (ria) was out of spec(gaps too big) by a lot.

Hi, Do you repair damaged 1911’s from other custom shops? Turnbull turned my EDC 70’s series Colt into a great looking paperweight that can’t make it through a magazine without jamming.

What I am amazed and bewildered on is why hasnt Nighthawk or any of the 1911 manufacturers in Arkansas made a basic budget minded beginners 1911? Something that has a lot of the basic Nighthawk pistol upgrade parts already in the gun. It would be a huge hit if this was done. Nobody is doing it except maybe Dan Wesson. Why do it when there is already Colts, Kimbers, and Springfields that do that? Well because those guns are not nearly as nicely crafted as the Nighthawks and Wilson Combat pistols. Its something people would definitely want. You know just a basic 1911 for less the 2 grand would be nice.
If you want a basic 1911 for less than 2 grand, you have a ton of options. Nighthawk is not interested in that market segment and understandably so. It's pretty saturated.
There isn’t anything budget about machine work unfortunately
@@anthonyarnold906 If companies in BFE Turkey can build a 1911 thats has superior machining work built on hammer forged frame slide and barrel for 350 bucks than companies in the USA have NO EXCUSE!
US company's cost are much more than a cave dwelling throwback!
@@johnanonomous238 Well I can say this the Turkish gun companies can make a nice pistol for sure they dont make junk! They are really cheap too. They probably make the nicest CZ clone I have ever seen.
How can you tighten the fit if my current pistol is a bit loose?

Are you referring to the Prodigy?

The Agent 2 is not available in a double stack configuration.

Can you make a mirrored 1911?
Your best bet is a Cabot Southpaw unfortunately. To completely mirror a 1911 costs hundreds of thousands in machine retooling and literally every single bit and piece needs to be converted to left hand (even the magazines must be left handed!)

We work on most commander and government sized Kimber 1911s. We don't do any work on the Micro's.

It depends on the work that is being done. It could be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. Just depends what you want done to your pistol.

Oh no. We work on many other brands. There are some manufacturers that have tolerances that are too loose for us to work with, but most 1911 manufacturers we can work with.

Due to varying tolerances, we do not work on any Filipino or Brazilian manufactured 1911s.

So, if usually "...only the slide and frame remain..." what does it matter if the guts have "varying tolerances"? Yes I know, distances from hole to hole, size of said holes, blah blah blah...aren't you 1911 gurus with a welder and machine tools? Yes, my only 1911 is a Taurus, but I don't need a full house five inch. Got a hammer I need put in, grind the frame for fully supported barrel (Wilson/Knowlin), install new barrel with a tapered cone, modify slide for reverse plug, full length guide rod, leave my guts and slide to frame fit the way it is, flat top and stipple ( yeah different) plain Novak rear with tritium front sight, barrel, trigger, and hammer TiN...the rest black DLC or Ceracote. Forgot the carry magwell...that'll do...bet you could do it.
