I attempt to beat Sonic 3 (the first half of Sonic 3 and Knuckles) without getting a game-over after inputting the 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00 cheat-code into sound-test in the level select screen which removes ALL RINGS, ALL ITEM BOXES and ALL SPECIAL STAGE RINGS from each zone!!! So if Sonic gets hit he dies! This is played in Classic Mode in Sonic Origins Plus. I also enable the super peel-out by inputting code; 01, 09, 09, 03, 00, 09, 02, 03 into the sound-test in level select. I also input code 01, 09, 09, 04, 00, 02, 00, 02 which change the title screen from "Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles" to just "Sonic The Hedgehog 3".
No offense. But I guess U can play better than that. The version U are playing is not an original Sonic 3 from Genesis/Mega Drive. The one U are playing is from Sonic Origins. If U were to play the game natively on the Genesis/MegaDrive (which means not emulator), I suppose it will be much harder. Also if U happen to on play the Japanese system, the speed is much faster. It will be great if U show us the gameplay on the original platform. Cheers
On the contrary. It would be much easier to complete this challenge playing the original genesis/mega-drive version when compared to this version. This is because whilst the Origins versions fixes a lot of issues the original version has, it also created a lot of new unnecessary issues which makes Origins far more tricky to beat without rings. For example; You notice how I got Tails to pick up Sonic during the Marble Garden act1 mini-boss? Well, I did this because in the Origins version the spikes from the ceiling fall too quickly-can't be dodged in time without getting hit unlike in the Genesis version where they fall more slowly. So the only solution I could find to guarantee Sonic's safety was to get Tails to carry Sonic which protects him from the spikes.
