I think if there's any lesson to be learnt here is that if you participate in high profile events, you should really consider putting your reputation first and whatever your intrusive thoughts and agendas are last. Jackpot never really understood the importance of their image and now they're seeing the consequences for themselves. It just sucks that the legacy of the 2024 Splatoon 3 world championships was forever tainted. This was everything I feared that could happen, the last thing anyone would want is to see is to watch someone make it to the top and then fuck up right after.

I used to look up to Jackpot a lot since I'm a low level player looking to become professional one day. This is truly heartbreaking and upsetting. It's inexcusable and completely wrong. I assure you, if I do manage to become professional one day, then I will not be doing this.

I’m very disappointed in Jackpot. However, it’s important to consider that some people really weren’t doing much wrong. As far as I know, there are no legitimate screenshots/videos against .q and Ren, and the Jared has already spoken about the single screenshot of him saying the n-word and how that was a long time ago, everyone else was doing it too (which is actually a point people dismiss-he was around people saying stuff like that all of the time so he probably thought it was OK-not that it is). I do firmly believe people can change and I really think Jared has too (there is no evidence of when the screenshot was taken iirc, and he makes fair points against it-even the kindest people can act differently if they are in hostile environment ESPECIALLY with their friends). Not that what Jared said was OK, but he sounds like one to change and doesn’t have a whole documentary worth of evidence like Leafi and Madness which are just inexcusable. I will be removing my banner from my splash tag, but I really hope nobody does this shit again.
