Adrenaline Fiend isn't necessarily an adrenaline node. it's more of a buff. You start with 1 adrenaline node in the beginning, then you get 3 more from the skill tree.
Just a tip..if you swap out 2 pieces of brigandine armor for 2 pieces of lugh's armor ( 2nd river raid set), you only lose 4% melee damage, in return for an added 21% melee resistance.
Brigandine set is the best raiding set. Against bosses you are not surrounded by multiple enemies, so the effects are inactive. Same for the weapons. But when you know how to Parry and how to time your dodges right so you trigger "Brush with Death" all the time, every bossfight and Zealot becomes really easy.
The Nokfylla Dregr fight was interesting for me. We kept gradually falling down from that hill you start from fighting the whole way down, until we both finally ended up in water, because we were water neither of us could use our melee weapons, so I just ended up punching him for five minutes until I finally beat him to death.
Mjolnir and Plank & Buckler shield, Viper Bow for crit chance, socket increased crit damage on crit, restore health on crit, chance to ignite weapons on crit. You can beat the everliving hell out of anything, heal through everything, still be able to block and parry with a heavy shield. If you don't want the ignite, you can use the stacking attack on crit instead.
Really depends on what you like, even knowing there’s stronger I still like dual hammers. I also like off hand great sword or spear for different situations. Which means they did a pretty good job in giving weapons their own feel or usefulness.
I found duel hammers useless as they dont pair together when you have the hammer in the right hand. A hammer in off hand has the same effect no matter what weapon is in the right hand. Now, duel spears… thats my shit. Leonidas spear with max speed and fyrd spear in the off hand is RIDICULOUS. Crazy range and you fling 2 sharp blades at an enemy at like 5 hits per second. Ive found it the most OP as the speed of spears get a big increase when you duel them and light attack.
With mentor set because of the crit damage that brings up your attack damage plus movement speed. Spears have incredibly high stun, crit, pre crit. Now imagine 89 stun, 120 critical chance and add critical damage to weapons.
Thank you for this video! I found it last night on my completed storyline file, but was already 400+ power. Started a new file today and went straight for these and just obtained Largetha's Axe from Homesteads. I also obtained battle sparth right before that. I'll wait to obtain the Brigande Armour until a little bit later as the fighting to obtain those I'm sure will insta-ko me Edit - obtained both weapons and full armour set by power level 71.
Not exactly true, there’s no records of lagertha actually existing, most experts agree Lagertha was actually a mythical figure based off of stories of the goddess thorgerd. If you’re going off the show vikings, Hvitserk wasnt technically a real person either. It was just a nickname for Halfdan, who was one of the sons of Ragnar (the nickname means white shirt)
I've been trying the double seax lately and it's really deadly. You can literally cut archers to pieces in only one sequence of light hits (in drengr difficulty)
My current set is mainly a Melee/Crit/Speed/Fire build(not counting the Minor-Great Runes) Einherjar armor with the Galoglach Rune(Increased range resistance when hitting enemies with a finisher), Thor's Run(Increased Armor when stunning an enemy), and Brigadine Rune(Increased speed when surrounded by more than two enemies), their also the only armor runes I have. Petra's Bow Predator bow with the Light Deft Rune(Increase critical chance the lighter you are) Varin's Axe with Critical Spark(Ignite your weapon after critical hits[for those who don't want to use the Sepulcher Axe]) Rune Shield with the Stalwart Swiftness Rune( Increases speed when close to full health). May replace with Mjolnir when I don't want increased ability damage.
I prefer to use the Fafnirs fang and lagertha's axe. The spear in my main hand. This means constant extremely high damage crits and it's faster than 2 axes
better use Mentor Set. You only have to crit 5 times for 20Attack and 10Speed lasts 35 sec and because the set is really light it synergize well with the greater rune which gives you crit chance the lighter you are. Managed to kill the guy in Norway to get the spear very early on at the first opportunity when you first go to that place. Took a few tries but once you have his moveset down and know the timings of parry, it's doable. This goes for Vanguards too as I managed to take one down (suggested power 90) when I had 50 power with dual wield 2h axes.
What I love about this game is that the weapons and armours aren’t level base or in this instance it would be power which is a really good feature in my opinion

Use gallolach armor and chained fury rune for dual flail then hold on the 4th light combo to continuously flail on the finisher and rack up atk buff stacks and melt targets while keeping them stun locked. Can even work on some bosses if you go for their weak points.
I am torn if this guide could be improved much further if you were to use the new DLC armour instead of this one as i believe it gives +30 attack damage after killing 3 enemies
If you like the heal you get from briton shield but are looking for a change of pace, try out Briton shield main hand and Fyrd spear off-hand. So much fun.
This build is very good but a double dagger Raven main build stacking Crit chance gives you more damage potential and survivability whilst also giving you better abilities, i melt overwhelming enemies on very hard mode with this
I like using fafnirs fang in main hand and a dagger in left, jab the enemies to keep them at distant with spear, then when the opportunity presents itself hold the parry button to run in with dagger and stab them repeatedly, it’s not OP but it looks cool

2 x Daggers and Light Ravens armor is best period. Get the healing dagger and Crit chance one and you done! People always overlook double daggers you won't beat it. Stack Crit Chance and Critical Damage with a knock down rune it's game over for them.
Great build but I prefer the Dragur armor with added damage to poisoned targets. Spear and hammer makes it so easy in my opinion. Also anyone else using the poison cloud skill be carful as it kills NPCs... so many times I've had to reload because of it
Not sure if you've explained it before but when you mentioned about the bear/raven/wolf skills it didn't mention that they depend on the type of armour you're using. Ie Brigandine is aligned to Bear, Mentor aligned to Raven etc.

Using the fang spear + that big axe + fire ability obliterated everything. Except I use two Spears in one to one bosses. And that armor is the most useful set in the game together with mentor set :)
Melee Damage vs Attack which allows you to hit harder? Crit damage allows you to hit harder only when you crit or in general "Grey numbers"? Also berserker armor increases speed so does that affect your swing speed with heavy weapons? Know it's a lot but couldn't find anything on Google :(
Tysm about the crit axe because it pairs perfectly with a spear that has a higher chance of crit with more enemies around Oh sorry I didnt see u already added it
Tried this. Damage was insane but man it was slow. Am currently doing the armored, with viper bow, fafnirs fang and sepulcher axe. Extra armor and melee, boost critical and fire. Its decent and quick
Caelan Erikson "The Northman" wields 'The Hell-Forged Spear" and "The Norse Winter" an enhanced axe and wears on his left forearm, a Golden Gauntlet w/retractable Shield (similar to Kratos via GoW4)
He actually showed the skill Adrenaline Fiend when he was talking about focusing on getting adrenaline skills first. And that specific skill actually doesn't give you adrenaline but does give you a boost to damage and speed for each adrenaline bubble that is filled. Great skill just wanted to clarify.
For runes you can had the increase critical chance and damage to lagerthas axe or fafnirs spear, for the battle sparth maybe a damage rune or ability damage
Gotta love those high crit chance builds 👌 honestly thats how I prefer to build, focusing on increasing crit chance to ridiculous levels for pretty consistent higher damage than just what the weapon usually has, rather than the occasional super-powerful hit
Apparently crit isn't that good in Valhalla. Your actual percentage chance to crit is crit chance divided by 4. I got over 120 "crit chance" on my weapons and only got crits about 2 in 5 hits.
Honestly, I find with fafnir's spear they do just sit there and let me hit them. Once they get that first poke they just kinda stay damage locked. Ive been running spear and heavy shield and its....pretty broken honestly. 2 spear is even worse, but it looks too silly for me.
I defieted Erik Loyalskull but didn't got the spear. I discovered the cave by accident, with like 4 hours of AC Valhalla in, tried like 7 times and defieted Erik, but no spear 😔
The brigandine armour is available as soon as you enter England. Be cautious though, the enemies are tough in Cent so aim for the weak points of your enemies.
Nothing beats using good ol helheims rage on elite enemies or the harpoon then dual wielding housecarls ax and varins ax for the double chop left hand ability after the harpoon brings em close enough to you.
I currently run Gungnir/Fafnir dual spears with Theign's Armor. It's useful for 1v1 fights like Zealots, but you make a good point and I'll definitely be picking up that rune plus the Brig armor set for raids, etc. :D
So even if ur not wearing that gear type you still receive the buff?? Like say i wear wolf armor.. Will i still get the full stats of getting the bear amor buff abilities?
Another op skill is the double shot with the hunter bows, get a critical with it and ive done over 2100 damage with 1 “shot”. This skill ruined many boss fights for me though because I would accidentally 1 hit them, so it does take away a bit from the game.
Sepulcher axe is super easy to get. I think I was about 70-80 power. I would just look it up and go grab it really fast. I actually had to progress the story a bit to get behind the door blocking it.
Great video. Will this set up work to slay Zealots? Between their high speed and impenetrable defenses, It's the entire reason I'm attempting to collect these items. Thanks!

The set is good for raiding/storyline fights, but is a fair waste for boss fights, giving absolutely no bonus for fighting an individual.
Really appreciate the effort you put into this videos. Thanks so much battle brother!
I'm literally furious. I spend like more than 4 hours getting Excalibur (took so long bc i was like power lvl 60 fighting the Knight's) just to find out that it sucks ass. My varins axe does more damage and it's not even leveled
Finally, a game where axes get to shine. Already my favorite Assassins Creed.
I’ve been using axes from the start are there better weapons? This my first assassins creed game lol it’s kind of overwhelming honestly so much to do. I sometimes don’t know what to do. I’ve played sports games pretty much my whole life so it’s really diff frm that
@@AfG_313 there’s flails, daggers, swords, and spears. You can also use shields as a weapon
@@AfG_313 im only a few hours in but i already know im only going to use 2 handed axes lol.
And honestly just take your time, explore the world, do the world events etc while doing the main story quests.
@@AfG_313 I use an axe and a dagger it’s a pretty good combo once you get used to it also spears are pretty good.
@@Ese1Pac dude this game is amazing I’ve literally stopped playing all other games been exploring and everything I came across this letter frm I think her name is Randvi or something? Saying she like the main character guy and I made the move man kissed her back then after took her to bed multiple times I feel like a chump now man
9:44 that skill isn't an adrenaline point, its a skill that increases health and dmg and so on scaling on how much adrenaline you have available.
I've been using dual flails on my build. Not the most damage but really fun. I'm gonna try this now, though.
Ive been rocking mjolnir and the briton shield, but i may have to check this build out.
If you like the heal you get from briton shield but are looking for a change of pace, try out Briton shield main hand and Fyrd spear off-hand. So much fun.
This build is very good but a double dagger Raven main build stacking Crit chance gives you more damage potential and survivability whilst also giving you better abilities, i melt overwhelming enemies on very hard mode with this
Thanks for the info man. I beat this boss and it gave me a different rune the Fritos spark rune that ignite your weapon on crits.
All of the drengr and zealots give random major runes
reload the save and fight him again, i had to do it a few times to get it.
@@yetiarmy9109 I was pretty satisfied with it I like status builds
Thank you so much you have made me invincible
Eso the best UA-camr ❤
Sepulcher axe is my favorite two-handed because it ignites after critical Hits. I don't use Shields or spears except gungnir I use for fishing.
I like using fafnirs fang in main hand and a dagger in left, jab the enemies to keep them at distant with spear, then when the opportunity presents itself hold the parry button to run in with dagger and stab them repeatedly, it’s not OP but it looks cool
So I obtained both weapons early because of the separate videos for each one and together they are legit OP..W
I used to watch your fallout guides, just saw this vid and thought (yeh sure il watch this) and noticed YOUR ON 1.99M SUBS, BRO THATS INSANE, I hope you have fun and good luck getting to 2m 😅
Currently sporting a maxed-out dual spear build with a maxed-out Galloglaigh armor set
(before that i was wearing the Mentor Clan armor set. Also maxed out).
Boy is this combo OP. But really really fun to play with.
I use the blacksmith hammer and that gold Dane axe that lights the main hand on fire which is the black smith hammer
Dual spears easily the highest and fastest damage, you can kill 10-15 enemies on the hardest difficulty in seconds
Im currently using that
I use Excalibur & a heavy sword combo but subbing in this heavy axe sounds intriguing. I also have all the pieces of the Brig armour set equipped:)
Also anyone else using the poison cloud skill be carful as it kills NPCs... so many times I've had to reload because of it
I use dragur as well man it speed and stun is huge for dps which people sleep on and posion extra damage is good too
3 years later and after the DLC's and being able to upgrade weapons and armor to divine level, it takes a bit of the fun out of the game.
Not sure if you've explained it before but when you mentioned about the bear/raven/wolf skills it didn't mention that they depend on the type of armour you're using. Ie Brigandine is aligned to Bear, Mentor aligned to Raven etc.
Suttenger claw which is a dagger and Thor’s hammer is ridiculous. The dagger just rips through and Thor’s hammer is just an amplifier
I'm loving dual daggers. The heavy attack shreds Everyone
Everyone exempt the long swords
Any specific daggers or just any daggers?
@@sumdank627 Kopis & Seux are vicious especially if you put the rune that does knockdown on heavy attacks because of the daggers speed the enemies are literally always on their back. You can sub the Seux for the suttengurs claw or however it's spelled.
@@sumdank627 my bad, I was out but now I'm in front of my pc, it's Yngling Seux or Suttungr's Claw With Kopis. Kopis is the main dagger and the other 2 are up to your preference. In Kopis put the "Critical Knockdown Rune" and prepare to laugh hysterically and faceroll the Entire game as because of the daggers speed and high crit you will knock down the enemies every other hit. They're literally NEVER standing! ABSOLUTELY AWESOME SET-UP!! You won't regret trying it! Happy Hunting Drengr!
Love videos man always great info and always helpful keep up the good work
Instead of the brigindine armor you should use theghns it has the highest armour in the game and it from what I know increases crit chance or crit damage
Its crit damage vs raw damage with those 2 armors. I was using theign's then switched to brigadine's
better use Mentor Set. You only have to crit 5 times for 20Attack and 10Speed lasts 35 sec and because the set is really light it synergize well with the greater rune which gives you crit chance the lighter you are. Also there is another greater rune which gives crit chance per hit stacks 10times. Using 2spears cause they are fast/high crit chance/long range, thats why Gungnir is the best weapon in the game not thors hammer!
Full Thors armour/weapon. Plus excalibur is a neat combo too
Using the fang spear + that big axe + fire ability obliterated everything.
Know it's a lot but couldn't find anything on Google :(
You can use the fire trap arrow ability to break the stupid walls that normally need a oil jar.
Tysm about the crit axe because it pairs perfectly with a spear that has a higher chance of crit with more enemies around
Oh sorry I didnt see u already added it
full Thors with Gungnir main and Mjolnir offhand, Excaliburs not bad either
Leonidas spear increases your damage for all your attack types by 15 AND increases attack(so all damage) by 10. That’s 25 extra for all damage types.
Does vengeance of Thor stack with the damage on your weapon?
I've been running sepulcher axe and blodwulf shield with fire runes. It's a pretty sick combo.
He actually showed the skill Adrenaline Fiend when he was talking about focusing on getting adrenaline skills first. And that specific skill actually doesn't give you adrenaline but does give you a boost to damage and speed for each adrenaline bubble that is filled. Great skill just wanted to clarify.
You should put feather runes on the armor. And runes for critical damage and chance. And maybe a speed rune could also work
For runes you can had the increase critical chance and damage to lagerthas axe or fafnirs spear, for the battle sparth maybe a damage rune or ability damage
I duel wield the scimiter and dopplehanger , both at 140 damage and i set em both on fire with that ability you get off the assassin , cool Af
Gotta love those high crit chance builds 👌 honestly thats how I prefer to build, focusing on increasing crit chance to ridiculous levels for pretty consistent higher damage than just what the weapon usually has, rather than the occasional super-powerful hit
High crit is always the way to achieve the highest dps in any games like this
Apparently crit isn't that good in Valhalla. Your actual percentage chance to crit is crit chance divided by 4. I got over 120 "crit chance" on my weapons and only got crits about 2 in 5 hits.
@@exorruination yea it's better when they do crit chance using % instead of a base stat.
I’ve been using the seax and the lipid I’m like a lightning bolt on the battlefield
I love your content for all the games you play. Much respect
I currently run Gungnir/Fafnir dual spears with Theign's Armor. It's useful for 1v1 fights like Zealots, but you make a good point and I'll definitely be picking up that rune plus the Brig armor set for raids, etc. :D
I have tried to defeat the Zealots but i have not been able to defeat them
So even if ur not wearing that gear type you still receive the buff?? Like say i wear wolf armor.. Will i still get the full stats of getting the bear amor buff abilities?
Lagatha from vikings is a shield maiden
Another op skill is the double shot with the hunter bows, get a critical with it and ive done over 2100 damage with 1 “shot”. This skill ruined many boss fights for me though because I would accidentally 1 hit them, so it does take away a bit from the game.
What do you think about excalibur? I’m working on getting that now but will def make a side trip for both those axes
Sepulcher axe is super easy to get. I think I was about 70-80 power. I would just look it up and go grab it really fast. I actually had to progress the story a bit to get behind the door blocking it.
Excalibur is brilliant! Blinds all surrounding enemies after a heavy hit takedown
I would love to see your take on this build substitute the rus armor from wrath of druids dlc
Great video. Will this set up work to slay Zealots? Between their high speed and impenetrable defenses, It's the entire reason I'm attempting to collect these items. Thanks!
