My department had the same guns. First the 6906, than after a few accidental discharges, switched to the 6946. I carried the 6946 from 1995 to 2003. 👮🚓
Wow, Generation 3 back in the day. Great firearm, saw one of this style recently here in Southwest Fla. it was the tactical 40 model. Yours here are sweet , Be well
5:30 If you like those, you should check out NovX rounds. They use the same polymer-copper bullets with a lightweight Shell Shock Technologies two piece stainless and aluminum case. The rounds are literally half the weight of your typical 125 grain brass cased 9mm ammo. My experience with S&W 3rd gen autos is not a good one. My dad bought a 411 in 2000 that he got CHEAP, like $300 and it was NIB. I took it out to the range and couldn't hit even hit the paper with it!!! I adjusted the sights, nothing. Got closer, like 2 yards away, adjusted the sights again. Ok. Backed up to 10 yards, still couldn't hit the paper with it. It was just throwing rounds everywhere. Total, utter GARBAGE. You gotta think, if they were as good as people say, they wouldn't have died out. People always come up with that "Glock killed it everyone wants plastic". I'm not sure I buy that. Did Glock kill the Sigs? Did it kill the Beretta 92? The CZs? 1911s are as popular as ever before.
I have had a a stellar experience for 30+ years with all my 3rd gen Smiths except 1… It was a 4566 and I couldnt hit shit with it… I was surprised because it was a safe queen before I bought it…
