  • Join us in commemorating a decade of support and dedication to our veterans at the Whittier Central Library's Veterans Resource Center! In honor of its 10th anniversary, we hosted a special awards breakfast to celebrate the remarkable impact this center has had on our community.
Established on February 3, 2014, with generous support from the California State Library and the Library Services & Technology Act (LSTA) Grant, our center has been a steadfast support for veterans and their families.
Since its inception 10 years ago, the Veterans Resource Center has been useful in connecting veterans with trained volunteers who provide invaluable assistance in areas such as housing, employment, health, and education. Countless veterans have found the support they need to navigate life beyond the military.
The Veterans Resource Center is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is located inside the Whittier Central Library: 7344 Washington Ave.
A dedicated Veterans Service Officer is available on Tuesdays by appointment only.
Questions about this center? Please contact the Whittier Public Library or call (562) 567-9900.
Thank you to our community volunteers and those who continue to serve.
