Cannot respond to opposition changes in tactics. Unable to motivate the players. Does not provide any direction from the side-lines. Has only one way to play (defensive 4-2-3-1) which every opposing manager already knows before the start of the games. Time's up, and he should have been replaced after the last Euro's.
Southgate's England is a safety first and foremost team. England have navigated their way to top the group to qualify for the knockout stages. Four games max left. Southgate will be happy with 0-0 aet win on penalties for all four games. I call it safety first football. Others call anti-football. I hope he fails.
When England go out and Uruguay win the Copa America , we need to offer Bielsa the crown jewels and give him two years to prepare England for the World Cup. He will get the best out of these players and improve them. We might not win the world Cup but I guarantee the football will be the best ever seen by an England team.
