I love kokeshi dolls.=) they're easy to display, keep and hold... and the smaller ones are portable too, so that even as a grown up, one can bring one wherever, both as a reminder of happier childhood times, and unbelievably, anxiety and stress reliever also.=)
I didn't know about these until today when I found and purchased four Kokhesi dolls in a Goodwil store for US$13.99. I did some online research and found the artist's name: Kyutaro Ogura (1906-1998). I also came across one that is around 90cm tall and selling on 1stdibs for $6,800! My tallest is around 50cm. I'm incredibly lucky and love them so much.
Never knew a doll like that and now I want to collect one. :) Always love you guys' videos... I think it would better if you have female voice actors over when a female is talking. Will feel more natural. :D
