Eddie was blown away by the crowd. They had never had this kind of audience before. You can see it in his face. He actually left the stage to get his recorder and started filming the audience

Loved seeing your reaction to this... this whole set is amazing so check it out. I saw them live in their early days and will never forget their energy which fed the crowd and vice-versa (notice no smartphones) you really got lost in the moment and it was beyond epic. Miss live music so much (in rona time) and PJ are still masters at it. You should go check out the clip on all of Eddies stage climbs and dives too if you liked that one... he was known as Crazy Eddie for a reason ;)

To give you an idea of how pivotal Pearl Jam was when they hit the scene, this was a festival performance in the Netherlands less than one year after the release of their debut studio album Ten. As you can see from the crowd, they were real popular. They were seventh down from Soundgarden headlining and they still had one of the biggest crowds you're likely to see at a single stage festival like that where most people tend to go for the later bands and headline.

Heyyy so excited you got to this! How I wish I could’ve been there 😆 “Why Go” from this Pinkpop ‘92 concert is another great one, and Alive or State of Love and Trust from the Unplugged show

Grunge was known for mosh pits in the crowd where people would pick someone up and pass them around overhead. It was also fast movement head-banging to the music in sort of a kinetic meditative state. Moshing! 🤟

Thanks for the review. If you want to learn how to play PJ songs on guitar check out Ryan Lendt’s UA-cam channel. Tons of great tutorials there.
Pearl Jam concerts are legendary and they will be going back on tour to promote their new album Gigaton once the world returns to normalcy.
