Steve Kornaki is the only one i can stand to listen to concerning election analysis. He has an encyclopedic knowledge on the subject and his assessments are always clear and well explained.
He's the only one who has the integrity to not allow his biases to come out. A true professional.

Dem voters also call for their own to step down when they have acted unethically and absolutely support investigations no matter the political party. Dems vote for policies. I live in deep red South Carolina and no one down here knows what their representatives policies are. They treat their political party like it’s some kind of identity.

It’s not at all incomprehensible. Senate elections are more than just the candidates themselves. They’re about party control of congress. Georgia has consistently been a red state until 2020, so it’s no surprise this race is neck and neck.

You have to remember that Georgia has consistently been a red state until 2020. A lot of the people voting red are not doing so because they like Walker, but because they want a Republican majority in the Senate. These senate races are more than just the candidates themselves

Georgia with their run offs. They really need to reform things over there.
Yeah, the whole runoff thing dates back to the Jim Crow era where it was issued to prevent a black candidate from overtaking multiple white candidates. I noticed that today both sides complain when the runoff doesn’t help their party. In 2020, Perdue won by about 2% and the race went to a runoff. Republicans claimed “no fair” while the dems celebrated. Now it looks like the opposite may be happening. Think about this: if the runoff rule were eliminated a while back, republicans would already have the senate.
Using a ranked-choice voting system would save the state money.

35-40 million votes cast early still have to be counted. And Democrats tend to vote early compared to Republicans. That's millions of votes!!

It's the demographic development of the country. It was becoming dominant Democratic, but now things are shifting towards the Republicans. This is probably the last time for a long time that a Democrat wins the Senate in Pennsylvania, it's moving towards becoming a Red State just like Ohio, Florida, and Wisconsin are. Ohio's move is really surprising. It was a true swing state, then Trump wins it in 2016 strongly, and it's just a solid 5% to 10% Republican leaning state now.
