You, Jayda, are my favorite tutorial instructor! You speak plainly, you move slowly and repeat stitches more than once. Repeating verbal and visual instructions are important for me. You stick to instructions with helpful hints and do not wander off on other subjects (annoying). Thanks so much! P.S., I am very new to crocheting, but really want to try the fan stitch for a baby blanket. You make it look like I just might be successful! :o)
Hi! Thank you for watching :) We're so glad you find our videos helpful!
If you need to see the video as you’re stitching you can slow the speed down to where it’s in slow motion. The only drawback it’s slow’s the audio as well. It’s kind of funny listening to.
I agree! Being a newbie I love your tutorials you speak clearly and show easily how to make the stitches! Thank you so much!
You are the only person who has explained how to do the edge of the finished edges with the sc. 2 sc for every DC on the sides worked perfectly. Thank you so much. 😍
You are very welcome, Thank you for watching 😊!
Oooohh my 2.5 yr old wants an Anna from Frozen inspired cape! I am going to use this stitch to make a cape! It will be sooo pretty!!
+TheLittlemomma10 ohmyGOSH that will be gorgeous!!
Ms. JAYDA. You are absolutely adorable. I LOVE your tutorials. You make everything so easy. Thank you very much. Love your hair in this video.
Thank you so much Wanda!
WHAT A LOVELY BLANKET 😍....LOVE HOW SIMPLE AND ITS STICHES...
I have watched a lot of crochet videos and by far yours are the best. I am new to crocheting and your videos make it easy to learn. You explain everything so well and show what you are doing. It is GREAT to see someone do that and not just keep repeating the same thing and working so fast that you can't keep. up. THANK YOU!!
Hi Roxie, we're so pleased to hear you're enjoying our show! Thank you for watching :)
Finally someone with a nice and happy voice, that is able to explain well and beginner friendly, without talking to much. It is really annoying when someone explains the same thing over and over again (we are beginners and not idiots, right?), so it feels like they read a whole book to explain one single stitch. And you are sitting there in front of your screen and you think, PLEAAASE come to the point ! This is my first of your videos and i am already a big fan of you ! I hope you make more tutorials about stitches and hopefully also some bigger projects like simple vests or so ... Thank you much for taking your time to make this tutorial
Hi Fiona, welcome to the big crafty family! We just posted a fun retro granny square vest tutorial this summer! We've got over 200 videos now and you can peruse them all at your leisure over on our channel homepage on the Video's tab! Just click on my user name to take you there :)
Thank you so much Jayda ! I was checking out your videos yesterday, but i guess i missed it somehow. Will check it out again ;)
Fiona Scorfield Right?

Jayda, I just wanted to pop in and tell you that this is , by far, my favorite baby blanket and tutorial! I found your channel about five years ago looking for an easy baby blanket pattern. +Gloria Edwards Hi Gloria, thank you for watching :)
I love how easy you make this. Thank you.
I subscribed to your channel many months ago, but I’ve had little time to watch. But today I’m sick in bed and I’ve finally gotten around to watching many of your videos. You have entertained me for the last 5 or so hours. I can’t crochet today as I’ve a shoulder injury, but in my mind I’ve made a scarf, some blankets, two shawls, and some donuts! Your simple way of explaining things is easy to understand and pleasant to hear. Mr. Stitches is too. I’m not done watching you today, but I thought I’d just take a break and thank you for all your hard work. I’m glad to see your channel is a success. May God bless your days to come.
Hi Marissa, thank you so much! We hope you're feeling better very soon :)

THANK YOU for making such easy to follow tutorials. I've watched so many other crocheters that go WAY too fast for beginners, but you always take your time and explain exactly what hole you're sticking the hook into lol it's really helped me learn crocheting.
Hi Brent, thank you so much for watching :)
Also, I love the pattern and turned it into a wrap for myself 🥰
I've crocheted a lot from her videos, she is a wonderful teacher with her cheerful voice.
Hi Mary! Thank you for watching :)
You are very welcome Jada
I've had friends, family, and fans ask me how to learn how to crochet. I'm going to recommend if they want to learn online that they should check you out. Your instructions are very easy, fun, and you are so positive and you get to the point. You discuss important aspects and I think any new beginner will enjoy learning from you. Thank you for being an inspiration.
+Mega LOTT Thank you so much! :)

Just would like to say a big thank you as i have taught myself to crochet by watching your tutorials. Now to begin my first blanket
Hi! Thank you for watching :)
This was a fantastic video with very precise and easy to understand directions. This was my first go at crochet and despite being advised that a baby blanket is a rather large endeavour for a beginner, I stuck to my guns and finished it. In lilac. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I can't wait to start my next project. A very BIG THANK YOU!!!
+Mal Thank you so much for watching! :)
Thanks for the video, you make it look so easy, I can follow along with you on the work. I plan on making it much larger to use as a table topper.
+R Bear Oh that will be lovely! :)

+Lynne Hume Thank you for watching, Lynne!
Beautiful Fiber Art. I am making this baby blanket for The Boston Roman Catholic Archdiocese. The blankets will be give to children's hospitals. Also, this is such a beautiful pattern for making prayers shawls for Hospice.
+Jessica A. Miller Thank you for watching, Jessica :)
Thanks for this video Jayda. I have watched it several times. I will make it soon. I watch crochet videos every day. I have just finished a Red Heart pattern today. I have made several hats using your pattern. You are one of the easiest people to watch. Even when I like a person's designs, I sometimes have trouble following people, but you are so easy, and I feel that I can do it!!!!!. I don't know where you found this pattern, but I would say that it is one of the prettiest ones on UA-cam. Can't wait to try it. Thanks so much. You should be a teacher because it comes so natural for you.
+betty sharp Hi Betty! Thank you for watching :) This is a blanket design I put together using an old fan stitch pattern I learned eons ago LOL, It IS easy and I bet you'll love making it!
I made it!!! It was very easy. I have to wait to put the border on until I go back to buy the white yarn. Then, I will watch your border instructions again.... I was very pleased with the end result. Keep bringing us more videos because you are my favorite teacher. You would be a great teacher for children. Do you have a degree in teaching children? Well, if you don't, you have missed your calling.
LOL Thank you Betty! Maybe I should open my own school! :)
I made this for a gift for a friend that had her first baby. Thank you!
That's wonderful! You’re welcome and Thank you for watching 😊

Hello! I just stumbled across this video tutorial of yours and right away i am now youe fan.. you deliver your tutorial so clear and you are a joy to watch! I am now retired and so i got back to my hobby which is crocheting … thanks for this wonderful pattern and i am looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials…
Welcome Flordeliza! Thank you for watching 😊
i will be making this today, this is how I shall spend my day 💜💜💜💜💜💜
What a lovely way to spend the day!
Jayda, just wanted you too know, I love your videos showing us how to crochet a pattern... You make it very easy to understand what to do, you do not rush through but make sure we understand.. Thanks you made this project for me very enjoyable... my first row didnt look as nice as yours but figured when I put border on that will straighten that edge out.... Thank you again. this is the second blanket i have done on your videos....
Hi Dolly, thank you so much for watching :) The first row of most stitch patterns might look a little wonky but I find they get pulled into shape once the next few rows are added and you're absolutely right, adding a border cleans up all of our edges!
I just completed my first time at this blanket. I made it for a large preemie sized baby in a soft pink. I really enjoyed this style and will make many more to donate to local hospital nursery. Thanks for sharing
+manda92631 That's so lovely :) Thank you so much for watching!
I have to thank you for this blanket. It's not only easy but a gorgeous one. And I truly want to thank you for showing a close up of how to single crochet into the Foundation chain when putting on the border because I always got confused on where to put my hook. Thank you!
HI Laura, we're happy to be helpful! Thank you for watching :)
I love this pattern. thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching :)
Amazing tutorial, thank you !!! I just finished a queen sized blanket for my Mom's bed in cream and taupe. She loves it and your tutorial made it possible. We love your videos and appreciate you sharing your wealth of knowledge and all in a fun and easy way for us to learn.
***** (Hi J.T.!!) Thank you SO much for sharing that gorgeous picture with us on Facebook! I'm still blown away by what a thoroughly fantastic job you did. I just love the striping effect! Your mom is LUCKY :)
I'm almost done with my "doll" blanket-used one skein. I decided to practice with the pattern, very new to crochet and actually learning most from you. Big Hugs! xo~
OH, MY GOSH!!! Jayda replied to my question!!! I thought someone in the community might answer my question, but Jayda replied. I'm fan girling right now. ❤ 😃 ❤ Thank you!
I just finished my second blanket with this pattern. One for a friend's baby girl and this last one for my baby boy due next month! My first two crochet projects. Thank you so much for the video! It was easy enough for a beginner like me and the blanket comes out beautiful!
Hi Eerie! We're so glad you enjoyed our tutorial :) Thank you for watching!
I just printed this pattern. Wish me luck!
Hi Linda! Just take your time and remember to be patient with yourself :) It's a repeating pattern, so it will get into your brain after awhile!
You are a ray of happy sunshine, Jayda! I wish I had found this tutorial sooner. I have 16 G-children who are too old to get a baby blanket now but two more grandbabies are expected, plus a couple of great-grandbabies. I love this stitch pattern so much. I've already started a lovely lilac fan stitch baby blanket. I have attempted this stitch several times in the past but got all confused. I'm doing great now, thanks to you. I'm subscribed for future inspiration!!!
Jujo672 Hi Jujo :)! Welcome to the big Crafty Family :) I love the sound of the lilac baby blanket (I love that colour) and with all those additions to your family you'll be busy all year! Thank you so much for subscribing :)

Dear Jada, just finished my shell blanket it's beautiful thank you for your tutorial.
Hi Darlene, that's wonderful! Thank you for watching :)
Our daughter is expecting our third grandchild so I may make a baby blanket after I make my mom a wheelchair lapghan. At age 63, I guess I'm in that sandwich generation. Have responsibilities toward my mom and my granddaughters!
I'm in the same boat. I am responsible for two aging parents and helping with two grandchildren. I need to crochet faster as my granddaughter's aunt just had her fourth child. Lol
I have the babies winter set done. Now the spring one to do. This blanket is perfect.
The upside is crochet is so much fun, and relieves so much stress.
Thank you so much for your generosity. It is appreciated.
Thank you for watching 😊
I'm working on my second one, yea. The first time around was so beautiful I didn't want to give it away, lol This one will be mine (giggles)
