Reminds me of potential buyers grips about what you are charging for your goods.....if they only knew the amount of labor and love that go into raising a well bred, to the standard animals that are well cared for....in all my years I have never made a profit...just the satisfaction of knowing that I have carried on the correct good lines of the animals that I have bred and raised ....and to share their benefits with others... you get so much satisfaction just from your stock....that is the pay off!
You totally get it! I think more and more makers are realizing the value of farm raised products and why they have more of a premium tagged on. Thanks for the thoughtful comment!
Thank you for this video..as a newbie sheep mom...I was wondering if my little ewe laambs were already outgrowing their coats...and now I know they definately are. Seems like you always show the info I need! My little girls are now leading well..and I am loving having them. Also the cool closeups of the wool...was very enjoyable too! Thank you SO much for sharing your beautiful flock with us.❤
Many of my ewes are very sweet and like affection, but I think dogs and cats are more dependant on us so express more loyalty than sheep. I had one bottle lamb that i imprinted on, and she would follow me around - right up until I merged her with the flock and then she would come up for skritches, but she was happier with her flock.
We use the coats to keep the wool clean - I sell the raw fleeces directly to handspinners who wash the wool and make yarn from the fleeces so they like the wool to be nice and clean with no bits of hay or poo (VM).
@@SoftShetlandWool oh, I see. I probably should have figured it out! Your sheep 🐑 are gorgeous, beautiful wool. It gives people some insight on all the hard work it takes to harvest wool. Thanks for the info ☺️
Thanks for sharing the video Jen! I absolutely love watching you care for your Flock!! You take such great care of them!❤🐑❤
Hi Karla! Hope all is well!
That was a lot of work. The handling system worked great.
Oh man, that system has been a game changer for us

Thanks Martha! That makes me feel terrific, so glad you are finding our videos helpful. Give your little girls a hug from me!
It seems sheep make lovely pets. How loyal and friendly are they compared to cats and dogs?
