Technically John Deere combines were the first merger. John Deeee bought the Holt/Caterpillar combine line to get into the combine market back in the 1930's.
No John Deere just waits until the competition does all the research and testing then 40 years later steals the technology to build a combine that's inferior. Yes that's leadership
50 years ago things were a lot different. We had a 6 row 20" Deere head on a 105 with 85 hp. the corn then made 200 bu/ac. from the best fields. the grain cart was 400 bu by a 4020 John Deere.
Here is a question you probably never been asked. I used to go to our local feed store back in the day (been closed). The owner would buy shelled corn used to mill it up for corn meal for human consumption. It was not ground fairly coarse so the coin meal would stick together if you squeezed a handful in your hand. If I find a feed store and wanted to buy some shelled corn to make corn meal what would I ask for?
There is a sensor that alerts the operator when the tank is full. Some of the combines we film have a camera. I filmed a Gleaner S78 today with a grain bin camera.
The water fall still happens on the new ones too. We were filming the monitor on an S690 to show the full stop and the combine hit a dip at 95% full and the corn poured over the windows of the combine a bit.
Rickie McKillip Dude why didn't you read what the man said ie holt caterpillar had combines in the 30s, jd didn't have any combine line at all so they bought out cat holt combines ,there was no lexion combine back then ,JD fanboys aren't usually very good at history.
It may be yellow but it has Red IH roots IH Played with 2 of the 234 picker sheller units and the program was dropped and the engineers later went to New Holland
My favorite channel on UA-cam! Thanks for going out and getting this footage. Would love to see the grain storage and shops of all these guys as well.
Thank you for watching and posting. We have been filming some grain bins. Stay tuned.
Great video! I'm glad I'm not the only one to miss a row after going through difficult conditions!
Great video, thanks for posting a video of NH equipment, it is awesome.
BTP is always in the look out for FORD and New Holland.
Thanks very much

I Love John Deere Combines because they haven't merged with other Companies to stay competitive

The guy I mentioned with the Gleaner F2 for sale a few Videos ago also has a TR70 for sale
Big field. Harvest takes what, 5 - 8 days? Start on one side, moisture is 18, by the time they finish it's 16. incredible.
You need to get a CR 10.90 video!!
It would be neat to see.
How does the combine operator know when his hopper is getting full? Not just this NH, but other brands as well?
Thanks, I figured it had to be that or a camera. I have seen older combines waterfall onto the cab when the brakes were applied.

Thanks for the reply. Great video.

bigtractorpower Thanks. I guess no system is full proof.
it will take a bit of time to cut
Bigtractor - which one is your favourite tractor brand -> john deere, fendt, versitle , new holland, case ih or other
My favorite tractor is an International 4786. The most advanced tractor today is Fendt by far.
is it a cummins diesel great video
The CR8090 has an Iveco.
Is there much difference overall between cat / deere / New holland equipment?
Claas runs twin rotors. Deere and Case IH run a single rotor.
Are two rotors better?
So you are saying that Caterpillar brought Lexion back to the United States to compete against John Deere am I correct in saying that

That's completely false
CR9090
Just 1 combine for a 1,000 acre field?
Yes. They have 3,500 acres of corn to cover with this one machine. They run two CR8090s in wheat and soybeans.
How many days does it take for that one combine to harvest 1,000 acres?
where the garnet farms corn harvest
It is on the way. 6 S690s in corn.
How much$$$$$$
you just kept repeating the same thing over and over
