- In which I trick and treat you to yet another terrible Slenderman movie. Is it just as bad as the last one? It might honestly be worse.
Ok so that theater curtain effect is my attempt to not get demonetized for copyright infringement as that's hit my old Slender video like I joked about at the end of that video. I tried to make sure it didn't cut off anything important, I just didn't want to take any risks with UA-cam's copyright bot. I was lucky enough that most of my videos got out of the "Not suitable for all advertisers" bot recently. I hope other people are having as good of luck with that now as I am. I also couldn't go as in depth as I wanted to because I just ran out of time so this review is more classic Nostalgia Critic style instead of the Plinkett style I usually go with, where I just go through the plot beat by beat and talk about things I dislike along the way. I wanted to do better, I'm sorry, I just had to get this out today. I also apologize for any editing mishaps or otherwise sloppy production, Sony Vegas was slowing down on me a lot for this project so I had to deal with a very low framerate and video quality the entire way through. Yeah! Why didn't they make one of the foreclosed houses they spent so much time in Brian's house?! They didn't even need to get the original house when you think about it! All they would have needed to do is throw an old mattress and a water bottle into a closet, tear the place up a bit, and recreate that weird little fabric doll Jay found in the place and toss that in somewhere!

I know right!! I literally expected them to visit Brian's house - it would have made total, logical sense. BUT THEY DIDN'T AND I WAS SO ANNOYED.

I will say, as a person from Oklahoma we do not approve of them ruining our already sucky state by also trying to ruin Marble Hornets.
You can't ruin Oklahoma any more than it is already, I've only been threatened with a knife15 times in this state

When one year ago I guessed that you gonna review Slenderman movie, I actually meant this one. Im from Russsia and Russian version of this film was named ''Слендер'' which translates into ''Slender''. I guess they changed it, because most people in Russia never heard of Marble Hornets. I knew about this film, because one of the Russian movie critics considered it the worst movie of 2015 , and after watching this review I think that title is well deserved.

What I don't understand is why the news crew that makes up our main cast aren't just investigating the disappearances of the original Marble Hornets cast of characters. Granted, I don't think MH had ended by then, but pretty everyone had gone off the grid except to post UA-cam videos. They literally have a built-in investigation to be conducting.
I think the movie happens after MH because the family at the end says they bought the camera which had Alex's film in and at the end of the webseries, Tim still has the camera so I think Tim maybe sold the camera to the store where the family bought it from. And also, the news reporters don't live in Alabama where the webseries take place so there's no point in investigating Alex, Brian and Jay's disappearances is they don't even know them.
Anyways, late reply and I'm not trying to defend this movie, I think it's fucking awful, but I'm just trying to add some logic to some of the issues you have.
@@bagasbramantyo9717 Fair enough. That said, I still think it'd have been a better film all around if the three main characters were investigating the "Marble Hornets" stuff instead of investigating that disappeared family in the film.

I really love the gag at the start of the video, where you have to open a door while holding a CD and a camera at the same time, and the payoff at the end where you leave through an open door.
