I used a impact wrench to do this removal and it worked fantastically. Thanks for the upload he now has a working oiler in my repaired client's echo chainsaw.

Not a rope method fan. Remove recoil to avoid damage. Use an impact gun.

Dear, do you know what type of thread their is on the securising end- nut M8(part V265-000211?)on a Echo CS500es clutch? Thread on the axe is damaged! Thread specification? Normal, Fine, ... ? Thanks in advance! Mathieu

How do I know when the clutch is bad and in need of replacement? My pull chord is stuck (doesn’t pull past a certain point, very limited) would this be indicative of clutch issues?
Remove the spark plug and try pulling again (slowly). Sometimes the cylinder can get vapor locked and this will prevent you from pulling the cord.
