@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE yea waiting on my govee outside light Rgbic I have a bunch of solar outside my 7 arce paradise I did landscaping at a young age . I've installed a 130 pond off my steps with a bableing waterfall all lit at night . Send me your email at jeffreymhunter@comcast.net I'm in Michigan so I have a bunch of winter cleanup . But I'll send ya some pictures of my heavenly place . I listen to music like most watch TV and the RGBIC motions on my deck will be great . I have live bands here and celebrate my anniversary on or around July 4th so on the 25th I hired some friends to play . We also had pry $2000 firework show , food kegs of beverage and a huge bonfire . My fireplace is the size of the round table of king Arthur. You only live once . @@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE what office chair is that ,I think I’m in love
@@Rewelsworld Gonna be doing a video on it in a down the line!
I performed a few hacks on mine. I unscrewed the base (two little Philips screws inside) and rotated it 180 degrees. This allows the slot for the power cable to be on the inside of the corner. I have the light pointed towards the room, not the wall. This alleviates a trip hazard. The second alteration was to throw away the Allen insert screws and drill and tap for thumb screws. This allows for removal of the two legs for quick and easy breakdown. I use these for accent lights for dj and karaoke so having quick breakdown is essential. Lastly, I purchased small canvas sandbags and filled them with pea gravel and place them on the legs. Never been knocked over by bar patrons. I power these with cell phone power banks so they don’t need to be near a power source. These are not only a cost effective way to illuminate a room, but they are much better aesthetically than what is available for DJs which cost $600 for four of them. I bought 8 of these but really only need either 4 or 6 for a show.
👏 Amazing work James! Truly some innovate thoughts here to take this DIY kit and make it a bit more Pro for different types of scenarios!
Thank you for that. I was thinking I may take the LED strip out and line the inside with reflective material or mask off the outside and diffuser track and hit it with chrome paint, then replace the diffuser. The output of the light MAY improve in brightness. Any thoughts on this?
Cool product, I really enjoy RGB lights. Always a great choice if you enjoy setting a different mood throughout the week.
Your definitely in the right place among the other RGB lovers! Thanks for supporting Hugo
This is something I definitely need and I didn't know until now.

I ordered one of these specifically for the reason that I want to use it with RBGIC LEDS from Govee so I can control it from my phone. I'm sure the Govee strips will be better than what comes with this light bar.
Hey John! That's a good plan, the Govee RGBIC strips are supposed to be some of the best!
Hey Julian 😁
Funnily enough I picked one of these up from AliExpress and it was s**t, so I was so happy when I saw you'd posted a good one.
I'll buy this one then
Hey Tidgy! Good to hear from you again! The lights/kit in the video is the same one at the US amazon link. I was happy enough with this kit, there are a lot of different kits and variations. I actually like the look of the light better without the base and just leaning against the wall! What was the deal with the kit you picked up?
Question I'm a star trek fan. Are any one of these led light bars capable of doing dot sequence like under the main screen of the TOS USS Enterprise?
Does this flow mode is available in normal basic goove led strips?
Dont need the floor panel tough but need excat strip .would you share
Really loved that intro song, is there a full version somewhere?
I love this one so much! Do you have this one set up in your house? I’m wondering if the legs are too long? Could your guest possibly trip on it? Also, the bar lights are much brighter than the lamps?
Awesome video Julian 😎👏🏽
Hey Marisela, yea I have them setup in my studio now! I actually removed the legs and just lean it against a wall facing outward so I can see the Lightbars! The legs are useful though if you want the lightbar to free stand, the base legs aren't too long I don't see anyone tripping on it. They are meant to align with a corner of a room, which is why they have a V shape.
I would like to attach them to my Bose L-1 speaker array.. how do I get thes?
Thanks for the demonstration there. I was looking at getting a set of these lights for my DJ'ing gigs but it looks like quite a bit of assembly to do. Where I just want something easy and quick to set up to set up some mood lighting. I just wonder if there are any of these lights with a quick build up and tear down set up.
Why not just build em once and bring them around as it? I haven't seen any tube style lights that get compact if thats what your after.
That is what I needed. See my comment of a mod to these lights. I set up six lights in about 5 minutes. Tear down and putting back in a bag takes 3 minutes. It's that quick. Here is how I set up: I leave the threaded V base and power cord on all the time. I take a light pole out of the bag and simply slide on the legs and tighten two thumb screws on each leg, place them close to the wall with the light facing the audience, connect a 5v power pack to the usb connection and drop a bag weight on the legs. Grab the remote or use the Magic Lantern app and select color or program. This video is why I bought them.
Thanks for the video. can you shoot at 100fps 200 shutter without any flicker with these floor tubes ?
Great question, I haven't tried myself. Doing a lot of slow-mo shooting yourself?
Underrated, you got a sub from me.
Thanks for supporting and subbing Snipe! Welcome to the collective.
Good video, thanks! I have two questions: Will it save the last setting if it loses power? I would like to use it with a smart plug. And how heavy is it? I would like to use it levitating.
Hey Leon, thanks for watching! To answer your question, yes with the particular LEDs in the kit it will save the last setting when cutting power, making it ideal for smart plugs! As for your second part of the video! I'm curious what you mean by you want to use it levitating!?
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE thank you very much for your answer! Sounds good! I probably want to mount it to the wall with a few centimeters distance to the ground. But I think it should work!
@@leongerdes7860 Yea should be good. I'd say the best part of the kit is the arm and the diffusion, you can technically use whatever led lights inside the tube and then mount it however!
New to the channel so far I like what I see excellent work question what is the best floor LED lamp made that is super bright with all the features
Thanks and welcome! I've done a few videos on LED light bars search my channel!
Finally got the opportunity to watch this vid. I absolutely love your content. Interesting product. Certainly tempting XD. Question for you. What would be the biggest difference or advantage to your professional Light bars comparatively to these? i.e) More rugged, lifespan, or customizable?
Great question. The pro lights cost 4x the price, they have mounting points to attach to light stands. They have about a 5x light output at max (as they are made to light scenes for video), they also are better built and the quality of the LEDs are top notch with a high CRI value (colour accuracy) and no flicker at highspeed framerates for filming. Those are the main advantages! Sadly though after 3+ years of professional video use the lights themselves are fine, but the wires and connections are going on me.
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE That is above and beyond any response I could have asked for. Thanks for the insight.
I'll keep that in mind. I believe my future business needs are a little more humble than what you're describing in your professional rigs. Gotta start somewhere right?
Thanks again very much. Have an awesome rest of your weekend and God bless 😎👍🏻
I bought one such an amazing product for mood and ambiance
I miss one feature that I find pretty basic which is having a mode that allows you to choose the colors and what percentage of them you will have on
Basically the different light modes without movement
Thin the next generation of this product will be even cooler and Govee is coming up with their own floor lamp anytime soon, let’s wait and see‼️
I have the new Govee Floor Lamp in my possession and will be making a video about it in the upcoming weeks!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE Looking foward for that review and hoping Govee brings the floor lamp to a higher level than the generic brands that make it
Which are you “professional grade” light bars? I’m looking to add a few and would appreciate any insight! Also love the channel btw
I mention them in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/NGqLeHmsS9Q/v-deo.html
Pretty decent floor lights from what it looks like, how durable did they feel?
The arm itself feels surprisingly durable, which is most important. I will probably actually just remove the bases and leave them leaned up against the wall as I've done with my Pro lightbars. The base itself works fine in this kit, but you may get a tiny bit of lean from the base to arm connection.
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE what are the pro lightbars? can u send a link please?
I purchase something similar from Amazon, but it had a heavy circle base instead of the arms. Came with remote. Didn't like that the remote also controlled other devices. It did come with a solid one pc defuser. I wanted something that worked with alexa so i purchased Govee rgbic and installed them and omg i love it now.. every led light in my room is Govee so i tell alexa to turn on smart lights and they all come on. Alot Alot of functions.
YES. Winning idea! A one piece diffuser would've been good - There are a ton of slight variations on the lamp and the different kits.
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE Definitely. I looked and looked and decided on what i have. I also made infinity Mirrors using the Govee RGBIC led with alexa. Govee said they cant be cut but they can. They can also be soldered. Wish i can show you my set up. Maybe have it where we can send in our setups and you show. Love your videos. I purchased the Govee Aura watching your video. Thanks for the reply.
@@Civic1998 Would love to see the setup, I would be happy to feature setups and such, I've done so in a different video with another collective supporter! You can email me inquire [at] jmprocreative.com or get in touch via my insta (hand and links in description!)

Great video bud! Question how effective is it with syncing to the music playing in the room?
Pretty effective actually! Has a good music sync mode.
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE Great thank you! And happy holidays
1:18 thats cool but what are light bars behind u though🧐
Awesome video!! Can you automate these lights with the IR blaster?
Sure can! Nice thing about the strips in this kit is you can also use smart outlets which may be an even simpler and easier way to automate!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE awesome, thanks!!
Can these be installed to ceiling?
In theory, could I just buy this for the framing and replace the LEDs with Govee RGBIC to fit into my current ecosystem? I have several sets of govee lights that I want to incorporate but need diffusion. I'd like to see content that talks about how to make exposed LEDs better diffused.
Yea you could absolutely do that. Just cut the led's to fit in the frame! Would give you much better control!
What is the professional grade light bar you mention at the end of the video?
I talk about them a bit in this video (with links in description) ua-cam.com/video/ct6rgnAK-6c/v-deo.html
what is name led the same kit in the video ???
Govee is developing a similar product, so I'd wait for that one.
Link?
@@user-vi4xy1jw7e The only info I have is spotting it inside the list of devices inside the Govee Home app. If you select to add a new device, go to the Indoor Lighting section, and then find the Lamps subsection. You will see the Lyra floor lamp there. It shows a little image, along with the wi-fi icon, and the model number is H6072.
They are actually, it's a bit different though, the base looks more like a flower pot in it's shape and will likely cost a lot more. I'll be reviewing and posting a video on it in a few months!
@@Midori_Hoshi thank you
How bright was the light would it light up at 15 foot room decently well
Ambient lighting for sure!
Govee has smthg similar called Lyra, but to my knowledge it is only sold in the States … what do you think of that compared to this? Looks lile govee lyra costs a bit more but it can be merged into my govee eco system plus u have way more scenes and it can syncs to your music. Govee Lyra Probably brighter too
Will be reviewing the Lyra when I have some time! The style is a bit different because the Lyra has a large base, but yes both are similar in style.
How many of these can you sync? I'm thinking of getting about ten of them😍
it can be sync to be controlled in 1 APP. you bought it 12 hours ago yes ?
Woah 12!? That's awesome! Curious how your planning to integrate them, would love to see the final setup!
Can you Switch the led strip and use Philips hue instead?
Sure can, you can mount any LED strip inside the arm for control and function preference. But it's nice they include an LED strip set that works pretty well and have some various effects, another collective member suggested using Govee RGBIC strips for advanced effects and wifi control!
Hard to evaluate the lighting of the lamps you're reviewing when you have so many other colored lights, imo. It would have been helpful to see them in a more isolated environment.
Whoaa buddy! Nice review man. How long do you think it would have taken to build in total, if you weren't shooting?
Randy hope your well good sir! Good question, these particular kits took about 10 minutes to build per light.
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE Ten mins, alright. Yeah were getting by hiking and planting seedlings. Just waiting for more kayaking/beach weather days.
can you make the actual light face inwards, just like the light bars in your space?
Yes, you can face them inwards or outwards whatever is preferred!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE ok so it can be in the corner but the led lights face inwards? Thats great. Also your channel will take off soon. Keep grinding!
Anyone know the song at the end of video?
Can you replace this receiver with a magic home pro receiver so you can connect it to smartthings and Google home?
You can put any LED strips inside so I don't see why not it it's compatible!

So these minimal floor lamps are an actual led strip on a vertical base with a difusor❓❗️ 🤔🧐🤨
Yup, pretty much. What were you thinking?

What happened to your Sunset Lamp video?
UA-cam pulled it for copyright which I don't understand or agree with. Been a bit of a discouraging week because of that :(

There is a controller attached to the lights you can change settings. There is also the IR controller attached to this base which the remote needs line of sight to work.
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE The controller box isn't working either. I plug the power into the controller box, the light turns on. And that's where it stays. Nothing works on the controller box. Not even the power button. I have to unplug it to get the light to turn off.

@@NathanMilkie1 Yea likely, its a diesel watch but I couldn't find the exact one on Amazon
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE Thanks for the help. I'll keep looking. PS... You have a dope studio/home setup.
not a fan of yet another remote and its look. would be cool if there’s a way to interface it with something like a logitech harmony elite universal remote -which has some home automation connectivity, or program it with home automation where you can customise the light pattern and bring your own light switches and control it however you choose. the rgb led strips look like they might be generic programmatically addressable ones trimmed to size. and you’re essentially paying for the frame and diffuser and the rgb leds as one entire kit. but, minimizing the number of remotes to achieve the same effect the better. 🤙
If you simply switch out the inner LED strip for something with all those features you can do it! Also if you get a smart home RF transmitter, you could use an alexa or probably interface with your remote.
This kit also has an app that gives you a ton more options for customizations but I think I would install some Govee RGBIC. I've pretty much replaced all of my led strips with Govee RGBIC in my Arcade room and I'm loving them.
If you buy this spend an extra $20 and buy the 2M Govee lights. You'll get full app support and 10000 more customization options.
Totally agree! Get them here: amzn.to/3nWjRkh and open up a world of effects!
intro music the piano sounds really out of place. That needs some reverbe or a some sort of filter on it!
the govee light is alot better =)
I bought one just came in and I put it together and it didn’t work I pulled up the most recent reviews on Amazon as well and it can be a hit or miss honestly not worth it for the amount of money you pay seriously I regret the purchase.. I like your reviews it’s just the product itself sucks I wouldn’t recommend buying it
So the LED strips didn't work? The rest of the unit has no electronics, and you can switch out for any LED strips! The strips should've worked though, It's important the small 4 pin connectors are correctly aligned, then you have to use the remote to turn on the lights.
