It was at that point she knew that Kush was hiding something. Not long after that Shabnam persuades Kush to get the truth out and then she divorces him. Then after divorcing him she left the square. That's basically why Masood was hostile to Stacey in the scene, because her and Kush were responsible for Shabnam leaving the square, because of their affair behind her back.
