Growing up in the D from 1990-2001 for me was when Detroit was live... Summer time you could hang out downtown til 3am then hit W.7-Mile and hang til 6am and do it all over again.... The clubs were hype ppl actual dance instead of mean muggin u in the club... #Memories

I remember this music being played in the car on like Friday or Saturday nights driving through the freeways with those street lights on the free ways sitting in the back seat on a certain radio station. Don't remember the station, but I don't think they do this anymore. They used to play classic house music too from what I remembered

The dough boys protected the women and kids couldn’t come on that block unless you stayed in that area. Summer times were the best everybody out kicken it everyday was a holiday nothing but pure love. That’s when our culture was dam near one ooooohhhhhh how I miss them dam days.
