- We take a walking tour around the world's newest cruise ship, Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady. In our tour we chat about what we experienced on our cruise, how Virgins latest ship compares to Scarlet & Valiant Lady, and what we would like to see them add or change to future ships.
As usual with our videos, we record these in a single take to give you our honest, non-scripted opinions. And as always our videos and all content is shot by us, in 4K and no stock images are used.

It really is very different looks wise to celebrity but it's inclusivity and fun feeling is amazing.

the position of those red cabana type things look so much better than the other 2 ships :) also the actual main pool looks larger than the other 2 ships, not sure if thats just the video or not, but the proper swimming area definitely looks bigger :)
Debbie, we had the same discussion about the size of the pool when we were on there, but we cannot say for sure. It also felt a bit deeper too. As a comparison, it took more swimming stokes to get across it, that Cunards (if you've been on QE/QV) main pool.

Do get on a Virgin cruise if you ever get chance, they are so different, in a great way to any other cruise line.

It a shame people don’t seem willing to give them a try.I think they don’t have a clear place in the market.
They are priced as a luxury cruise and we think that is where they should be but they have this party ship stigma still I think.
Hopefully more people like yourselves spread the word that it’s not just a party ship but a luxury adult cruise then more people will feel confident to book.
We were saying this ourselves yesterday Karen & Stuart. More people really should just give them a chance, like we all did, and we honestly believe more people would love it, than think it was okay, or not like it. They are just in that weird position. We don't think the TV show helped, but then again, when Princess, P&O and even Regent did a show, they all came off very similar.
We absolutely love cruising on Virgin, everything about them, from the ship size and the food, to the crew and entertainment. Everything is outstanding.

how can they manage the buffet area with so few tables and chairs? how can you find a chair at the buffet with full capacity?
It is deceptively much bigger and more spacious than it looks. On our three sailings, including one 100% capacity one, we have never struggled to get a table in there, whereas we have on much bigger buffet areas on ships such as MSC, Princess and Royal Caribbean.
We think that is because compared to a traditional Buffet, the Galley, where people order food fresh, rather than all pre-prepared, people tend to use the Galley very different to other cruise ship buffets. It essentially becomes just another place to eat, and because all of the other restaurants are included (no speciality restaurant upcharges), and the dress code is MUCH more relaxed, you don't find it becomes a choice of Main Dining Room or Buffet for people.

How do you compare Virgin Voyages to Celebrity? Normally sail only Celebrity, but looking to branch out and Virgin Voyages looks interesting, I'd say food is definitely important to us :)
Hi J C, it's is quite a odd one to compare because in many ways they are very similar. The food and service for one, and the inclusive attitude of the cruise line and crew.
Then on others they are quite different, in particular the night life. During the day time we would say both ships have a very classy, relaxed atmosphere, it is at night that things differ most. Entertainment on a celebrity cruise (with the exception of Eden) is much more conventional modern cruise line, whereas Virgin is much more modern and adult oriented.
In truth, we would be delighted to get on a Celebrity Cruise or Virgin and we wouldn't think twice about getting on either. With that in mind that's probably the best thing we can say, if you love Celebrity then you are probably going to love Virgin too, especially if food and service is important to you. And if you like to have fun, even more so.

ive just noticed that there is no hot tubs on the main pool deck, thats a shame
You are right Debbie. There are none right at the side of the pool, but about a ten second walk away in the aquatic club side of the deck (where the hydrotherapy pool is) there are two decent sized ones.

If will be interesting to see if Virgin do make any changes like changing Gunbae for instance, and altering the cabins more. We can't imagine they will on Brilliant, but maybe after that?

I think virgin are struggling they are giving away free cruises for Virgin points in July and Aug in the Med which is peak season!
Watching the video the seating doesn't look comfy outside metal which is cold or hot, hard seats no padding, wasted space outside while they have small pool and not many hot tubs. We might give them a try using a free cruise next year if they are still doing it as they did it last year too.
They are definitely not as busy as they should be Peter. We love Virgin but a lot of people still seem resistant to giving them a go, which is a real shame. We were reluctant ourselves before the first cruise, but within seconds of being onboard we knew we were going to love it.
@@SuiteNatured I think when I compare the prices to other companies and what I have seen on the videos the price seems a bit high but we are budget cruisers who get inside rooms and rarely pay over £250 a night for 2 many times including drink packages. I haven't found Virgin with good enough deals on their own site they instead keep giving away cruises via offers with casinos, virgin red, celebs, etc. One of those we will pick up and try next year as we have 2 more cruises this year and no more holiday to take more.
