  • Huge thanks to the Campolindo High School students and staff who came out to our Mangini Ranch Educational Preserve to care for our native pollinator gardens!
Their service project was a part of our Diablo Conservation Experience program-this is the new name of our Conservation Collaboration Agreement program that we started in 2016 for middle schools, high schools, and colleges.
Our native plant gardens at Mangini needed more bark mulch to keep weeds from sprouting and the ground moist for the native plants in between rain events.
The group worked to scoop up mulch into buckets and wheelbarrows and carry it to the gardens.
They made sure to bring the bark to all corners and edges of the gardens and raked the mulch to spread it evenly across the ground.
Now the gardens are in great shape for the rainy season ahead!
